The Reveal

Blitz POV

After one of the nurses cleaned me up I sat in the waiting room hoping for information on Jäger's condition. I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I knew was my shoulder being shaken and I shot up to see IQ.

"Huh what happened?" I asked in a daze

"You fell asleep and when the nurse called Jäger's name, no one responded. So they called the base and I was wondering where you were." She giggled "come on" she stated walking towards a ward.

I shot up and flew down the hall. IQ hurried with me to his room. When we got to his door I reached out and touched the handle but IQ put her hand on mine. I turned to look at her

"I'll stay out here and let you two have some time alone" she said taking a step back. I nodded pushing on the door and slowly walking in.

It was dark and warm in here and the room had the glow of a small bedside lamp but the roof lights were off.

"Hey" Jäger groaned from his spot on the bed.

I immediately broke into tears but they were happy tears knowing he was still alive. I walked slowly to his bed side, our eyes locked all the way. Once I reached him I put my arms around his shoulder and snuggled into him. He copied my action.

"I thought I lost you" I whispered into his ear producing goose bumps on his skin.

"Never, how else are you going to complete missions without me" he replied in his raspy voice

I giggled pulling back to look him in the eyes.

"I only managed to survive by thinking of you" he said taking me off guard as I thought it would be me doing the sappy stuff. "You have always amazed me Blitz and I think I love you more than a friend" he continued. Again I thought I'd be admitting my love to him.

"I think the feeling is mutual" I smiled watching his eyes glimmer in the light of the lamp.

His eyes flickered to my lips for a second. I took the hint and leaned in. Our lips connected and for a moment I felt soo comfortable in his presence. After the kiss I leaned my forehead against his

"I don't think I'll be able to do training for a while" he whispered looking down to his stomach for a second.

I laughed "I think your going to be bed ridden for a while babe" I said and his eyes turned glassy

"Will you do the honour of looking after me?" He question

"I'll be there every step of the way" I replied gently touching his bandage over his wound. His stomach tensed up but relaxed after I placed my hand flat.

There was a knock at the door so I backed off of him and sat on the edge of the bed while holding his hand. The door opened and I saw Doc walk in. I flew off the bed and ran at him engulfing him in a hug.

"Thank you for saving the love of my life" I said and I heard Jäger giggle in the background

"It was my pleasure. After all it's the least I could do. Adding to some good news, Jäger you can be discharged tomorrow and sent back to base. I'll be a resident to the base while I nurse you back to health" he said

"That's fantastic to hear" Jäger said

"Would you mind if we talk alone?" Doc asked Jäger

"I'd rather Blitz be in here if that's ok" he responded

"Very well, You will find it uncomfortable to eat, drink and sleep due to the wound. But the repair shouldn't cause any further damage or risk, and if you use bio oil on the entry wound you shouldn't have a scar either" Doc explained

"That's great thank you" Jäger said and Doc left the room. "I want to sleep" Jäger said.

I walked over to him and helped him remove his shirt and i gasped. His chest and beautiful abs were covered in bruises.

"It was the recruits, they had a good swing. Luckily for them I couldn't get out of the ropes" he explained tencing his abs making me light head.

He shuffled in the bed groaning at the pain and made room in the bed for me. I climbed next to him and before i could cuddle against him, he rolled onto his side and put his head on my chest and balled his hand into a fist and placed it onto my stomach.

In mere minutes he was asleep and lightly snoring. I ran my hand threw his hair and he lightly sighed. Confirming he was comfortable I fell asleep with the guy I love.
