Return To Base

Blitz POV

"We need to increase the screening on new recruits. We can't be training anymore hostiles our way of working. We could put this whole operation in jeopardy" The commander explains on a conference call with a lot of us elites and other staff.

"I have put systems in place and a committee of people together to now do full screenings on all new recruits" The enrolling officer Mathew replied

"That's what I like to hear. And I'd like you to do a full check on everyone that is currently working under this organisation. Is that understood?" the commander adds

"Of course sir" Mathew agreed

"As for you elites in the call. Please keep up with training and limit the people you meet up with outside the base. The GSG9 will not be getting involved in any conflicts until we've rooted out any bad blood and gotten back on our feet. An international agreement with a few foreign agencies will help with issues in Germany and Europe during our shut down. There will be a noticeable amount of foreign agents on the base so please make them welcome."

"Yes, Sir" we all replied

"And Blitz, you and Doc have been pencilled in to get Jäger back on his feet and in working order again. Doc will help with the dressings and medication and I'd like you to begin doing physio with him as soon as Doc says he is allowed. I understand this is a big ask because it takes you away from your own training but I think he could use a friend to support him. Is this ok with you?" the commander asks and I was hardly going to say no.

"I will get him back to fighting strength within no time, Sir" I responded

"Good, that's all for today's meeting ladies and gentlemen. We will all meet again this Friday at 0900" the commander adds as the call gets ended. 

I lean back in my seat smiling. I get to look after the man I love for probably the next few months. I could hardly contain myself but somehow I managed.

I stand up from the chair and leave the small office and walk through the halls to the reception towards the door to tell Jäger the great news.

*Brrrr* *Brrrr*

I pull my phone out from my pocket and it's a message from IQ. "How the hell did you manage to pull that off? Are you sucking off the commander as well? 🤣" I giggled to myself

"I am most certainly not. I just got lucky and I'm not complaining haha" I responded putting my phone into my pocket 

"Ahhhh Blitz!" I hear from behind me at the reception desk. I turn to see its the receptionist Karen. "Wait right there!" She runs off to the back room and comes back with a huge bunch of flowers and a card. "These are for Jäger from the girls here at the reception. Would you mind getting them to him please?" she questions

"Sure thing. Thank you. I'm sure he will love them" I laugh taking the flowers which are as wide as me. As I walk out of the office door I see loads of little pink heart shaped bits of cardboard within the flowers containing all the little love letters from the girls. I smile to myself knowing that Jäger already has his eyes set on someone else.

Jäger's POV

I was sitting in the living room of Blitz's dorm as Doc was sticking me with another cocktail of pain medication and checking my dressings when I heard the door lock rattle then the door sweep open to reveal what can only be described as a walking jungle. As the flowers approached I could smell his cologne over the sweet smell of flowers. They moved aside to reveal that adorable face with that dimple smile that I adore so much.

"Hey handsome" he cooed as he placed a kiss on my stitched forehead

"Hey" I smiled "I know we are a gay couple but... Flowers? Really?" I add. He laughs and it sent chills through me that worked as better pain killers than Doc's meds did.
