Your POV~

I slipped on the the clothing mark had given me: a lovely blue knitted jumper which was very baggy and warm and a pair of baggy mom jeans. I hadn't seen clothes this clean since before doomsday. The sleeves where long and reached beyond my hands like long draping arms and the bottom of my jeans needed rolling up. It looked like I'd just walked out of the 90's. I didn't realise I looked sad, maybe I thought too hard in the shower, i guess there's a lot on my mind. I rolled up all my old clothes and binned them seeing as I wouldn't be needing them anymore. I went into the main bar room joining mark on his mattress. He was sharpening a pen knife, obviously very concentrated, he didn't look at me as I sat down. I put on my best fake smile.

"Where's the others?" I asked

"Still showering, Felix went to contact Marzia on the walkie-talkie, they're on there way back, they'll be about ten minutes" I nodded thoughtfully. His gaze momentarily shifted to mine, he lowered his head as if he had seen nothing but then sharply raised it again, surprise and a look of shock written across his face. His cheeks flushed pink like when they did in the shower room.

"What? What you seen?" I look over my shoulder, trying to see what the commotion was about.

"N-no it's just... that you loo- that jumper looks really nice on you..." I let out a stifled laugh.

"I knew I was covered in grime and dirt before but I didn't expect a shower to make that much improvement. You're exaggerating the situation mark, you don't and can't compliment someone in an apocalypse. Look! I look like I've just crawled out of a ditch" i rolled my eyes and kissed my teeth at him.

"No, really (y/n), you look really pretty, blue suits you" he smiled and the nervous aura that surrounded him seemed to vanish.

"If ya say so.... I still believe I look like a rag" he opens his mouth to say something but only shuts it again and laughs

"You should have more faith in yourself (y/n)" he grinned at me. Suddenly, I was the one who felt nervous. My once bold, confident character I had seemed to shrink away into a meek, shy one.

"I-I'm gonna..... go see if Felix needs a hand with anything! Yeah, that..." I sprung up like a hare in headlights and darted to Felix. He was behind the bar, sorting what looked like bullets.

"Hey Felix"

"Sup, what can I do for ya?" He stopped sorting his bullets and gave his undivided attention to me.

"I was wondering if you needed a hand with anything"

"Well I'm pretty sure PJ wouldn't mind some company on look out," I nod accepting his offer

"Up the staircase, along the corridor to the end. You should find a metal door and past that is the metal stairs to the roof" I nod and follow his instructions. Along the corridor were other rooms, this pub must've been an inn and that's where Felix, Marzia, Brad and PJ must sleep. Their rooms must be nice, but they were here first: first come first serve basis.

I pushed the metal door open and climbed the metal steps. I opened the roof door, the bright blue sky, white fluffy clouds and scorching sun seemed to blind me. I shielded my eyes with my arm letting my eyes adjust. Seeing how bright it was outside made me realise how dark and dingy it was inside the pub. I spotted a guy sitting on a camp chair with a gun in hand. He had unruly brown locks. There was a camp chair beside him which I plonked myself in. He looked at me confused then smiled and nodded.

"(Y/n) am I right?" I nodded my head

"Yup, right as rain, you must be PJ?" He returned the nod and we shook hands.
