Your POV~

Someone was lightly pushing my shoulder.

"(Y/n).... (y/n).... wake up (y/n)" I open my eyes, it was mark.

"It's time for our shift..." I nodded and rubbed my eyes attempting to quickly recover from my sleep. I see Brad and Felix come into the room. Felix smiles giving me a thumbs up while Brad stands in front of his mattress for a moment then falls face first onto it, snoring as loud as a plane. I pick up my gun, amo and axe and follow mark up to the roof. I ascend the metal stairs and mark pushes open the metal door.

"Wow...." we both gaze in awe at the sky. It was filled with millions and billions of stars, I felt like I was swimming in them: swimming in a great big nothingness....

"I've never seen the stars like this before...." mark gaped.

"Its probably because no pollution is being made so we can see the stars rather than cloud." I told him. We went to sit down on the two camp chairs. We sat there for about 45 minutes taking in the view and checking for any Zs, I couldn't bare holding back the things on my mind anymore.

"Hey mark?"

"Yeah (y/n)?"

"You know when we first met and I was like, I'll only stay until we get there and stuff?"

Marks POV~

Oh no... I can see where this is going.

"Y-yeah?"

"Well, I was wondering if you could let me stay with you guys? I've been so much happier with you and I realised going solo isn't the way." I nervously bite my lip. Fuck. We had a plan! That we would just get rid of her when we didn't need her anymore, but now she wants to stay.... and honestly?.... I want her to stay too. But Tyler would flip! He go bonkers! Before I could stop myself I found my mouth talking.

"I'd like you to stay! But I'll have to check with Tyler, I'm sure he'll be more than happy!" SHIT! What the hell am I saying?! It's like I can't say no. It's like I don't want her to leave. It's like.... no no no no no never in a million years would that happen. I bite my lip again. She glanced at me concerned

"I don't have to stay if you don't want me to...."

"NO!... I-I mean... no.... I'll speak to Tyler" she smiles softly at me

"Thanks mark, hanging with you guys has made me realise that going solo was the worst. Only until I joined you did I realise just how depressed I was, I haven't felt this happy in forever!" Her smile just became brighter and brighter. But my mind just became more guilty riddled, I felt shit. She flopped back in her chair with a heavy yet happy sigh. While I just became more paranoid.

Time skip~

Me and (y/n) finished our shift and (y/n) went straight to bed. I tried to to sleep but my mind just seemed to buzz with thoughts. I slept no more than two hours last night. Tyler was the first up.

"Hey, dude can I speak to you?"

"Yeah sure" we went to a separate room and I explained the situation.

"Mark what have you done?! We can't get rid of her now!!"

"Maybe we don't have to get rid of her, maybe w-"

"Mark you've grown an attachment to (y/n) and that's bad. The only way we can get rid of her now is kill her!"

"WHAT?! What the hell did you just say?!?! No no no and no again. That is a step too far." I furiously shook my head, I was disappointed in him. I didn't expect him to stoop that low.
