A/N 1st October, I'm here, and yeah. This is the start of whatever. AND this is two parts, lucky u and I totally didn't forget about this until like 3:40 pm
Yeah, enjoy this, in my opinion, alrightish chapter? Idk 😐
"Okay, Anaya, what happened that night?" I stared at the man and sighed, this story was getting pretty overtold.
"So, there was 5 of us..."
----
We were trapped. I remember that clearly. We were trapped with a dead body, a murderer and 4 witnesses. Eryn, Kristie, Celina, Asha, Talia and me.
It was going pretty well, the five of us hanging out, until the lights flickered and Celina's body was left hanging half way down the stairs. We all knew each other pretty well, Asha and Celina were the actors of the group, they were pretty good at it and they were teaching Talia at the time, Eryn was the artist of the group and I was just... me.
Kristie, however, was a different matter. Everyone didn't really like her, because leaving her 'true' friends for some popular group mattered.
So basically, anyone could've done it.
At first glance, you would've gone straight to Asha and Celina, because, they were the best actors, right? Well... they seemed pretty genuine, but they were good actors. Talia seemed traumatized, and so was I. Everyone was.
----
"Let me stop you there." He said.
"What?" Not another question...
"Who seemed the most suspicious that night?"
"I don't know, they all seemed pretty suspicious, Eryn staring at Kristie all the time. Celina and Asha whispering to one another all the time, and Talia was just looking at me the whole time."
"What about the evidence against you?" We all had evidence against us, but my evidence was just pure lies.
"It's a lie." I finally say.
"Continue."
----
Eryn ran to the door and tried to open it. She failed, it was locked.
"Doesn't Kristie have the key?!" Celina yelled, eyes wide open.
"No one should touch her!" I say.
"Why not?" Talia glared at me.
"Otherwise they can't see the murderer's fingerprints! They'll think you're the murderer!"
"Well I'm not, so I can get the key out." Talia pulled Kristie over, dragging her up the stairs and that's when we got full glimpse of the wound.
Eryn pushed herself against the wall, trying not to look and Celina brought out her phone, calling 999.
Talia was struggling to find the key, so I pushed her out the way.
"What?" She said aggressively.
"Don't touch her anymore, especially when the police come. They won't find the murderer's fingerprints on her now!" I gestured towards her bloody hands which were slowly drying.
----
"Wait." Again?! Dude, with this guy, the story will take five times longer, "So, that's why only her fingerprints are found on her?"
"Yeah, she just ruined it." I shrugged.
"Carry on."
----
Celina was crying down the phone, Asha sometimes shouting occasional information.
Talia walked towards the door, to be slammed backwards by police coming in. They were here now. Everyone was fine. Apart from Kristie.
----
"No more needed, so, what was your alibi?" He jotted down.
"When the lights flickered, I was grabbing my phone torch and turning it on."
"Did you see anyone?"
"No because I turned it on and it turned back on again."
I looked at him. They called him a detective? All five of us were being questioned of our view on this 24/7. Without any contact with the others. I hadn't seen any of them since the incident.
"How's everyone else taking it?" I asked.
"Not as well as you and Talia are." He said, not even looking up.
"I channel my emotions differently I suppose." I said. To be honest, I was really in shock still, but I just didn't want to act all... you know.
"Whilst you and Talia are the suspicious with your emotions, we have to consider everyone's acting skills, Asha and Celina, but Eryn doesn't really fit in with any of this." He said.
"Hmhmm.." By this point, he'd lost me. I was already imagining one of us crouching over Kristie with a knife, posed to kill her.
"-Anaya, Anaya?!" The man was waving his hand in front of my face and I snapped out my daydream. Was I seriously daydreaming for that long?
"Oh, yeah, yeah, what?"
"You drifted off." He narrowed his eyes and wrote something down again.
"Who do you think it is?" He suddenly threw at me.
"What?" I asked, eyes widening, he can't just make me choose!
"Well.... Celina and Asha are extremely good at acting... but they called the police... but that could throw u- you off track... so probably either Celina or Asha."
A knock knocked on the door and a man looking exactly like the man in front of me was soon revealed as he opened the door.
"Sorry to interrupt... but this is urgent." He said.
"What?" I looked between them.
"We've got her."
