Chapter Six - Katie's Birhday

The School day has ended much to my pleasure . While walking to through the halls I felt a jabbing pain in my left ribcage , then another and another . Jess was standing there a wide smirk on her face as her elbow met my body once agin . Giving her a confusing glance before staring at the hall ways tilled floors .

"Oh yeah , I kept trying to talk to you all day after Art , but it's like you block everything out . So plan one : Make you notice I'm here . " Jess said pointing at her red bruised elbow .

Pointing to my lips , I scrunched my eyebrows together , looking a mixture of mad and confused .

"Mckenzie , I Don't Care If You Can't Talk ! You Are A Great Person And I Can Already Tell A Great Comedian ! "

I let a smile spread over my lips as she said those words . I actually had a real friend .

"Jess , babe . Wait For Me ! " A husky voice said far right of me .

"Andrew , you take forever to get you're things together . " Jess whined

"Would you like it if I gave you a ride ? " Andrew offered slamming his locker shut .

"That Doesn't Stop The Fact That You're An Unorganized Twat !"

"Remember babe . I'm you're unorganized twat . "

All while this was going on , I looked left and right , to try and understand what was happening .

"Mckenzie , meet my annoying boyfriend . Andrew , and you mister , meet Mckenzie my new friend . "

Surprised by huge arms embracing me tightly , I was to shocked to move and even blink .

"Nice To Meet Ya ! Sorry love , I'm a hugger . "

Nodding my head to say it was okay , I saw the front entrance and decided to walk away before the others.

"Mckenzie Where Are You Going !? " Jess yelled to me

looking at the door and pointing , I believe she had got the point .

"I will see you tomorrow ya . "

"Hey love , you should attend my football game this friday , great way to start off school . " Andrew said as I walked out the doors .

This friday is to important to miss . Katie's birthday is this friday , more than anything I know Crays would want to be here for his little sister's birthday . I wish I could see him again , tell him I'm sorry , that I never meant to take his place of looking over her . If I wouldn't have went in the building that night , none of this would have happened . I would have stayed at the orphanage and Crays would be with his sister right now , where he belongs .

"Mckenzie ." A voice says distantly .

I continue to look out the window , blocking out everything around me .

"Mckenzie ." The voice comes again .

My body freezes . My heart stops . I know this voice .

"Mckenzie ! " The voice pierced the air around me .

Everything around me turns to a familiar scene I knew to well .

"MCKENZIE ! " A soft yet stern voice whines .

I look from the car window to a small girl with long black hair with pleading eyes .

"Yes ? "

"Do you have more candy !? " She frantically asks .

"Hahaha , no . You know the rules no more candy untill after dinner . " I tried to say sternly .
