chapter five

Damon's pov:
The Salvatore Boarding House

Today Jeremy, Bonnie, Caroline, and Klaus planned a couples date, which didn't interest me at all, Elena made me promise I would go and I can't really go back on my word so I guess I'm going on a couples date today.
I'm not sure what we're doing but I know it's probably going to be really stupid or cheesy. I could think of a million other things I would rather be doing with Elena than going on a couples date with her. If it was just me and Elena I would be perfectly fine, but it's not so I'm not that fond over it.
"Elena we have to go soon. We have to meet them at the restaurant at 2:30." I say as I grab my wallet and phone then wait at the door for Elena. She comes downstairs smiling and when she gets to the bottom she spins and her dress flares out then rests back at her side.
"I'm ready!" She says happily as she grabs her clutch and her coat.
"You look beautiful, my love" I say as I quickly regret it.
"My love? Are you turning into Klaus?" Elena says as she kisses me.
"I wanted to try it out and now I know I never want to use it again." I say while shutting the door and locking it.

Mystic Grill
We park then walk up to Mystic Grill as we see Bonnie and Jeremy talking and waiting outside. Elena waves as she runs over to hug Bonnie and Jeremy.
A few minutes later Klaus and Caroline show up and we go get our seat. An hour or so passes and we finish our food. Caroline planned the evening so I'm a little worried about what we're going to be doing next. "Okay everyone so if you look in front of you I gave each of you a copy of the itinerary and the times you all need to be at places. First up we have mini golf from 3:45 to 4:30, then from 4:30 to 5:00 we have go cart racing, then from 5:00 to 7:00 we have a movie in the park we are going to see. I also brought blankets, picnic baskets, and everything for the movie in the park so don't worry about any of that!" Caroline says.
"So what happens if we don't follow this itinerary?" I ask smiling at Elena.
"Well you will miss out on a LOT of fun and you may get your neck snapped, so I would just follow the itinerary so we have no trouble." Caroline says sternly at me.
"Got it blondie" I say as everyone gets up to head to mini golf.
Elena and I walk to the car and I start driving to the mini golf course.
"So I know you want to go on this double triple date thing but I would much rather be doing other things with you that involve a little less clothing and a lot less bossy blondie right now." I say as I look at Elena with a slight pouty face.
"Can we please skip this and go back home?" I say giving Elena puppy dog eyes.
"Damon you promised you would go on this date with me you can't back out now." Elena says as she puts her hand on the side of my face.
"Suck it up because we are going to be late for mini golf." She says as she gives me a smirk then kisses me.
"You're lucky I love you, Elena Gilbert." I say as I start the car and start driving to mini golf.

Mini Golf Course
3:50 pm
We pull up and park on the road beside the bright neon mini golf course. I see Caroline and the group waiting outside and Caroline looks more than a little mad.
"Damon Salvatore!"
"Yes blondie"
"You are five minutes late! And it's the first thing on the itinerary!!" The infuriated and irritated blonde said.
"Goodness I'm sorry okay! We got suck in traffic." I say hoping she will believe me.
"DAMON THERE WERE BARELY ANY CARS ON THE ROAD! THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN STUCK IN TRAFFIC!" Caroline exclaims.
Klaus walks up behind Caroline and whispers something in her ear.
A few moments pass while everyone is still trying to figure out how that escalated so quickly.
"We're going to go on a little walk, we will be back soon." Klaus says as he takes Carolines hand and starts down the sidewalk.
Caroline turns around and scowls at me before her and Klaus turn the corner.
Jeremy was getting the balls and club's we needed, while Bonnie helped grab the club's to hand out.
We only got four club's since we didn't know when Klaus or Caroline would be back.
