Samuel Holt And Colleen Holt Angst

Published On: June. 8, 2018

He came back. The captain of the Kerberos crew... he came back to Earth. It's been... months. Over a year, since he's seen the lucious green plants, and the crystal cold blue ocean.

And now he can see it.

He was back.

Sam Holt... was back....

Or so he thought...

*

Holt's crash site was found near the Galaxy Garrison, in the dusty, orange, moon-lit canyon. He had recently came through the suprisingly hot atmosphere, considering the fact that he was barreling through it.

The emergency rescue workers were bringing the unconscious Sam out of the somewhat scorching ship. The old Holt was covered in burns and tiny cuts from glass, so they went to a hospital, and immediately tendes to his wounds.

The news spread quickly across the world. News reports flooded in about the altean ship and the unanounced arrival of the Kerberos captain.

Colleen Holt, his wife, was already at the hospital, in his room right once she got the news of his return. Colleen was shaking. Her breathing hitched as she saw him. Her husband. He was gone for over a year and a half.

Or maybe more.

Sooner or later, the grey haired male slowly started walking up. Though shaken as a flash of memories flushed in his mind, Sam was calm. He smiled, seeing his wife. But it soon faded as he got a better look at her.

Colleen's hair grew a bit longer and more wild. She was pale, and bags lay dormant under her red, caramel colored eyes.

She had thought her son and husband were dead when they were, in reality, taken by the galra. Then Katie dissapeared. Collen had thought her family was dead.

Gasping at the sight of Sam being awake, Colleen's eyes filled with tears. She collapsed on her knees, and sobs ratcheted and wrecked through her throat. The light-brown, greying, haired woman layed her head in her arms on the bed. Sam sighed quietly, and rubbed her back slightly. Colleen got up[still sobbing], ane enveloped him in a hug.

"Samuel Holt, don't ever dissapear on me again..."

"I won't Colleen.. i won't.."

A little while later, a soft yet firm knock was heard at the hospital's door. Colleen had shakenly gotten up and answered it.

Only to be met with Iverson himself.

"Hello, Mr. Iverson. Please, come in.", hesitantly said the woman. She stepped aside, allowing the commander to step into the hospital room. Iverson walked towards Sam, holding a menacing look on his face.

"Hello, Captain Holt. I'm pleased to see that you are..... somewhat well," Iverson greeted, gesturing to the many monitors Samuel was hooked up to. "Getting straight to the point here, i am going to ask you a question. A few, actually. What was that ship you came back with, and who made it? How did you survive out there in space? Where is Matthew Holt and Takashi Shirogane?"

Sam glanced at his anxious wife, and adjusted the fixed glasses on his face. He took a deep breath to calm himself down. Samuel started to explain everything he knew in a breif manner.

"I was captured by an Alien race by the name of Galra. They have destroyed planets and drained them of their life sources, captured and tortured slaves, and many more unforgiving things. I was rescued by Voltron; a huge robotic man created by five different lions with Paladins controlling them. Among the Voltron team, there was Takashi Shirogane as the leader, My son Matthew as a rebel fighter, and my daughter Katie as one of the five lion paladins. They want Earth to join the coalition against the galra so we can win this 10,000 year old war. As for the ship, it was Altean. Alteans are an alien race as well, but a nice one. I have no clue who created it."

*

The room was silent.

The message brought by the male Holt was trying to pry itself into their minds.

Colleen was in shock, but in relief that her children were ok.

Iverson on the other hand.... thought that Samuel Holt was delusional.

"Tell the truth, Captain Holt. What happened in space?"

Sam held a stern glare at Iverson. He wasn't lying. He saw everything he explained. Endured it, watched it, fought it. All he had to do was convince Iverson that what he was saying, was real.

It all happened too fast.

Sam was taken away from her....

T o o.  .  . F a s t.  .  .

Colleen remembers it clearly.

Iverson had kept pressing Sam to tell the truth. And Sam had told him the truth to the point that he would go up yelling about it. Literally. Sam had almost gotten to his breaking point, when he had pinned Iverson to the wall. Iverson had called security.

They were taking Sam away from Colleen. For what? They thought he was being delusional. Crazy. Mad. Insane.

After struggling with his pulling and yelling, they put Sam under with the sleeping stuff they put into the syringe they used.

Iverson and the government needed to test him more. To see if what he said was true.

Which they thought was least likely going to happen.

They wouldn't listen.

They thought he was in shock.

She believed him. She saw the truth in her lovers eyes. But she was too afraid to do anything. To shocked and axious to help.

And now, Colleen Holt, the mother of two supposedly missing children[teens] and the wife of a supposedly crazy husband, was sitting at the couch of her home. Crying. Petting the sad family dog, Bae Bae, holding Sam's broken glasses that fell. And remembering her husbands yells when she last saw him.

"..LISTEN TO ME! THEY'RE- THEY'RE REAL! ALIENS ARE REAL! THEY'RE REAL!"
