Author Notes;; Kinda unedited, and I write it all in around 4 hours. Hope it's good, yall-

Taking care of a blind dragon wasn't easy. Especially if you've been tasked to teach a certain someone how to do it. You see, blind dragons are rare (unless if you have one of those sentinal dragons, of course). But that wasn't the case in this matter.

Your dragon Mick - a hobblegrunt dragon - was born blind. He's been with you since you were young. Seven years old, to be exact. You had met him when your original village was raided by dragons, and you were with him ever since. You both took a liking into each other, though the poor dragon couldn't see. Since then, you have learned how to take care of him, along with other dragons who were blind.

Anyway, back to the present.

A young, parent-less monstrous nightmare had gotten herself into trouble with old traps that were long forgotten about. While out exploring with Toothless, Hiccup found her. Once taking her back to Berk while she was passed out from exhaustion, he discovered that she had gotten blinded. Not knowing what to do, he went to his mother, Valka, for advice.

She was currently training a few dragons, and teaching others how to properly train them and gain their trust. If she wasn't busy trying to keep a few people from killing themselves if they did something wrong with a dragon, she would've definitely helped her son. Instead, however, she directed him to someone who has dealt with having a blind dragon for most of their life.

You.

This set him on edge. Normally, Hiccup would be fine with getting help from someone. But getting help from you? He'd rather loose his other remaining leg then stay around you for a while. You both never really liked eachother. Nor tolerated each other, either.

You and him barely even talked to eachother, but there was something about him that made you irritated when around him; and vice versa. There was hardly any trust between you two.

So there you two were, trying to calm down the small, terrified monstrous nightmare. She thrashed about, causing herself to go on fire out of feeling threatened. Toothless and Mick were standing close by, incase something were to happen. Though, they just were eating fish. Hey, it was lunchtime for them - they can't pass up on food.

"Hey! Hey, it's ok girl," Hiccup tried to sooth(though he was practically shouting his head off since the young one didn't seem to listen). He held his hand out. "Just listen and--"

You groaned. "Hiccup, that is NOT going to work! You do realize that she CAN'T see, right?", you bitterly asked. You should've just done this yourself. Otherwise this wouldn't have happened. Though you guys were in a closed off dry field, the small dragon got dangerously close to some trees. That could definitely cause a forest fire, and knowing that was a possible danger was not helpful at all.

"YES, Y/n I do realize that!", he said back, just as bitterly. His mind was racing on what to do in this situation. Jump on it to snuff the fire out? No, Hiccup that's the dumbest idea you've had - uh - wait, that's it!

"There's a river up ahead! I'm going to go get some water from it to snuff out the fire," Hiccup started, as he began jogging towards the trees. "Then we can restrain it so it won't go off and destroy anything else!"
