OC Angst

A green mess of a ghost floated around like a lost puppy; or ghost puppy, if you will. His eyes were a faded sky blue, that stood out from his green figure.
This ghastly thing was looking for something. Mainly, someone. A family member that he had left alone, too early in her life. It was his sister, whom he missed dearly.
It was his own fault that he died.
He cursed at himself, for being ignorant of the gas level in the car that day. He was too excited to get home, afterall. It was his 19th birthday. On July 10th.
And yet he died three days after. And his own little sister paid for his ignorance, with her mentality and emotions.
Eren never wanted that. He wanted Sky to live a nice and happy childhood, even with their mother and the curse of a vengeful ghost. He never really got the chance to be a good brother.
It was only five years into her own life that he had to be forced out of by death itself--
'I think that's enough of reminiscing through my past life...', The blue ghost thought. He floated throughout the town he was stuck in, poking quietly through yards, and occasionally floating through a few walls; just to try and see locks of either pink hair, or graying dark-chocolate hair[his fathers hair color].
Eventually, Eren found himself /sort of/ walking through a peaceful looking cemetery. No, it wasn't creepy at all.
The entrance had been decorated with flowers of all kinds, ranging from violets to periwinkles. There were huge willow trees that held small lanterns scattered around. The grass was kept fresh, and warm, soft lighted candles were lit up to "ward the evil away", as said by the nicest, but firmest graveyard keeper/watcher from this part of Ninjago.
Keeping the graveyard in a "happy" sort of way was bittersweet. The people from this town described it as "celebrating people ascending to the next world/dimensions/realm" or something like that. Along with "lighting a way for the spirits to cross over".
Yes, it seems weird, but it's home, afterall. This town was both Eren's and Sky's childhood home; until the Wintoro family had to move after the incident.
Eren walked blissfully through the graveyard, staring at the stones of those who passed, and occasionally seeing a few friendly ghosts. He was happy to be home.
Before he left the graveyard, he stopped, hearing words coming from a familiar, yet different voice. He turned around, to see an older, 17 year old familiar pinkette near his grave.
"Hey, Eren.", The person said quietly, as they kneeled down. "It's Sky. I...haven't visited you in a while.. sorry about that..."
She trailed off, placing down a small pale blue and purple lighted candle, that smelled a lot like lavender. Sky placed something else down. It was an old videogame she found. It was Eren's favorite.
"Anyway.. happy 18th year of being dead i guess-", she paused, rethinking about what she just said. "Oh my lord.. i need sLeEp - sorry about that, Eren - if you heard.. I meant to say Happy Birthday as well.. so... yeah.."
The blue eyed girl trailed off, and stared at her older brother's grave with a small, yet sad smile. Eren himself held a sad smile, though it was mostly of guilt and happiness because of seeing his sister.
It stayed quiet and still for a few moments. It was so calm and serene.... until Sky's phone buzzed in her pocket.
"Well.. i gotta go.", she announced, standing up, and walking towards the entrance. Before walking out, Sky turned around, facing the Blue ghost himself.
"Happy Birthday, Brother.", the pink haired girl said, bowing her head slightly to Eren. Her eyes looked somewhat glossy in the light, like she was about to cry; but Sky wiped them clean and walked out of the graveyard.
Eren was a smiling mess.
All was ok for these moments.
Calm.
Peaceful.
Happy.
It was all Eren could ask for his birthday.
At least he spent his last few ghostly moments with Sky, before he felt himself transform into beautiful emerald petals with a blue tint in them.
The petals, or Eren, i should say, followed Sky for a while, before being scattered in the wind, floating away.
Sky had finally let go of the remorse she felt for a while, since her brothers passing.
And somehow... Eren did too...
