Valark was released from his containment room after two days and went back to classes. Flying Club had been cancelled due to the recent events and Myth Rider trying to plan an attack without her best dragon. This allowed Valark to slowly come to grips with his new reality and for everyone to take a break. Valark and Terrace decided to go back to Norway to see Valark's parents, who they hadn't seen in over a hundred years. Sylph and Penelope also went on a trip to Canada to see friends and family. It seemed everyone had somewhere to visit. However, Tucker and Skellor decided to stay.
"So you're not going to go visit family?" Skellor asked, getting into his new street clothes.
"Nah, my parents are on holiday and are out at the Caspian Sea and Nana has Trevanor over for the week."
"Who's...Trevanor?" Skellor asked, fixing the collar of his jacket.
Tucker rolled onto his stomach and smiled at Skellor. "Trevanor is my Nana's Flyer. He's an Aero dragon."
"Yo that's pretty cool." Skellor sat down. "I kinda wanna meet him."
"You can!" Tucker smiled. "I'm sure he could teach you some pretty cool stuff! But I'm gonna stay here, Catastrophe said she wanted to hang out with me and teach me some cool medic training."
Skellor nodded. "Alright, to each their own."
Tucker smiled. Skellor and him have gotten to be really good friends, which made him pretty happy. Even in hard times like now with what happened with Myst Wing and Valark, he could always find something good happening. There was a knock on their door and he looked up. "Come in!"
Cat opened the door and smiled. "Hey! You ready to get going?"
Tucker smiled and nodded. "Yeah!" He got off his bed and jammed his feet into his sneakers, pulling on his hoodie. "We'll see you later Skellor!" He watched Skellor wave in a nonchalant manner and they left, closing the door.
"So what bogus lie did you tell him?" Cat asked, giggling.
"I told him you were going to give me some basic medic training! And my parents are on holiday!" Tucker laughed, smiling. They weren't going to train at all. They were secretly going on a date. The night before, Tucker told Cat how he really felt about her and that she was the first girl he ever really had a thing for. Of course, she had mutual feelings, so they wanted to see where it could possibly take them. But they didn't tell anyone in case it crashed and burned so no one would talk about it afterwards.
Cat giggled and put her hands in her pockets. "And he believed that?" She watched Tucker nod and giggled some more. "So, where are we gonna go?"
Tucker smiled. "I have just the place! There's this small place just outside of Chicago that my parents would take me every now and then. It's really awesome there!"
Cat smiled sweetly at him. "Alright, let's go then!"
Tucker smiled and led the way, renting a taxi for them so she wouldn't have to fly them and went into the diner. It was a small, comfortable place with the smell of really good quality burgers and other grilled items. He sat her down in a booth and sat across from her.
She looked around in a very interested way, never seeing any of the rural area outside of Chicago before. "It's so nice out here."
"Yeah, I love the outskirts of Chicago. It's really welcoming." Tucker smiled at her sweetly and looked over the menu. He read the menu for a little then realized that Cat was looking at him with her cheek in her hand instead of the menu. "Uh, did you pick what you want already?"
