--sorry for missed updates, I've been struggling lmao-

The furniture in your room was pale and delicate in soft tones of pinks, blues and nudes. The chair in which you sat currently was a pale tone of pink; it was comfortable and big enough to lounge on. You leaned on the edge of the armchair while buried in your book; Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'.

The thought that you might never get to see Levi again skulked around in the back of your mind. It was an unpleasant thought that you didn't want to dwell on so you replaced it with a book; it would distract you for a while. That was, until, the book ended.

The French inspired doors to your balcony were propped open to let the cool evening air seep into your room. The thin curtains swayed slightly in the breeze as entered your room; the candle placed on the table beside you flickered slightly with it.

It was slowly growing darker outside and even though you read to distract yourself from the unpleasant thoughts, a new one was beginning to gnaw away at you as you eyed beyond the doors into the night. The search was bound to begin shortly. A specific time was never announced, 'nightfall' was the only clue that you could go from.

You let out a small sigh to express some frustration and confusion. It was a weird mix of emotions. Where was Mr Smith with those clothes?

Grabbing the small bookmark, you placed it within the pages and closed the book before placing it on the table beside you. You stood up and proceeded to walk over to your desk, opposite where you were just sat.

Your desk was made from the finest of wood available and was finished with a shine. Upon it sat a mirror adorned with an intricate pattern on the outside edges. You caught yourself in the reflection and made a few faces before grabbing the hairbrush from your desk. You picked up some ribbon and carefully tied your hair back. The ribbon wouldn't do much, you were aware of that, but at least it would help to keep some of it from your eyes.

A knock at the door made you swivel your head around and you called out for the person to come in. The door opened slowly with a creak and Mr Smith shuffled in, holding some neatly folded clothes. The clothes were unlike what you were used to. Your usual clothes were colourful and made from a multitude of different materials, these clothes however were dull and tattered. Mr Smith had definitely done a great job.

"I hope these are satisfactory, Lady Y/N," he spoke as he set the clothes down on the edge of your bed. "While I cannot stop you from going out to join the search," he continued with a sigh, "I ask you to please be careful."

You sent a smile towards Mr Smith, appreciative of his concern; "thank you, Mr Smith. I will be careful." As you went to pick up the clothes, Mr Smith gave a small nod and turned to leave.

Keeping your head down, you stood amongst the crowd, swerving to avoid anyone who might recognise you. While the clothes helped to disguise you, people would know your face so you did your best to hide it.

Hushed whispers danced around all who had gathered, they didn't know what they were looking for, and you were sure that they weren't ready for it, but they were determined and brave, and therefore you would be too.

"Is everyone 'ere that wants to look?" A voice called out from the front of the crowd. Voices rose up to meet the question. He continued, "good." His voice was rough and course, hardened with a slight hint of anger. "It seems like we have to do all the work aroun' 'ere. No fancy soldiers have come to save us now. These attacks 'ere! They happen at night, which is why we're all 'ere." He coughed and spat on the ground. You shivered slightly in disgust, but this man was taking charge and so you kept your eyes on him. "This sick bastard! If we catch 'im, we kill 'im!"
