Chapter Two: 9 Months Remaining

Chapter One:

"Mom, I'm just as happy as you are but, it makes me even happier knowing your happy."

Present:

Izuku awoke to the sound of his alarm clock signaling it was time to get ready for school. He couldn't help but wonder what else his quirk could do. He got out of bed and took a shower, brushed his teeth, got dressed, and ate breakfast.

On his walk to school, multiple people recognized him from the news the day before and walked up to him, asking him questions like, 'how did you defeat that villain with one punch? (One punch man XD)' or 'how did you change the weather with a single punch?'. Basically, mostly questions about his quirk but, he couldn't really answer them because he, himself, didn't know much about his quirk either.

~Timeskip to Midoriya's classroom~

"Woah it's Midoriya!" Someone exclaimed as he opened the door. "Hey." Midoriya said waving slightly. "Woah! Wasn't he on the news yesterday? About a sludge villain or something?" Another student asked. "Heck yeah! He defeated the sludge villain with a single punch while simultaneously changing the weather at the same time! I wish I was there to see it..." the first student said. "Deku!" Midoriya heard Bakugo growl behind him. "H-Hey Kacchan..." Midoriya anxiously answered. "How the hell did you get a quirk!?" Bakugo yelled back, even though he was the closest person to Midoriya. "I-I don't know Kacchan I-it just happened." Midoriya managed to answer. Bakugo was about to attack Midoriya but the teacher came into the classroom. "Mr Bakugo, Mr Midoriya, please take your seats. Also, Midoriya, someone told me to give this to you." The teacher handed Midoriya an envelope with the return address of UA. Midoriya's eyes widened slightly as he saw it. 'Why would I get a letter from UA?' He wondered to himself.

"Midoriya you can open it when you have free time during the day." The teacher told him. "Okay, thank you."

~Timeskip to lunch~

Most of the students that knew about the envelope crowded Midoriya in anticipation of him opening it.

Midoriya couldn't wait any longer knowing that it was from his dream school. He ripped the top open and a small metal, circular, machine popped out with a note that said:

ONLY WATCH IF YOUR NAME IS IZUKU MIDORIYA, AGE 14, AND ATTEND ALDERA JUNIOR HIGH.

Midoriya immediately pressed the red button and placed it on the table and a projection of Nezu, (is it Nedzu or Nezu?) the principal of UA, appeared.

"Midoriya Izuku. I, Principal Nezu, invite you to the exam for recommended students to see if you have what it takes to become a student at UA. You may be wondering who recommended you, well," He pauses for an entire 5 seconds before continuing, "I'll give you a hint, it was a pro hero." He paused again. "It was All Might!"

Midoriya's eyes widened at the news, along with everyone who heard the news. He couldn't believe that the All Might, the number one hero,  recommended him, to go to UA.

Midoriya couldn't control the smile that appeared on his face as he heard the cheers of his classmates as the news spread. 'Mom is going to be so happy...' he thought.

"I, along with the UA staff, hope to see you at the exams." Nezu finished before the projection turned off.

~Time skip to the end of the school day~

Midoriya was walking home for the last time before summer officially began the next day. He couldn't wait to get home and tell his mom the great news. He walked along the sidewalk with a huge smile on his face that was even brighter than All Might's, but, that smile was immediately was wiped off his face as he heard the screams of people nearby. He willed his head towards the sound of the voices.

He started running through the crowd to see what was going on. A couple people froze for a second when they saw him running by, recognizing him from the news the night before. Midoriya heard one scream that was too familiar.

'Kacchan...'

Midoriya quickened his pace and before he knew it, in a split second, he was at the scene people were running from. "Kacchan!" Midoriya continued running to help his childhood friend get to safety from the villain.
He activated his quirk and was about to punch the villain but he noticed someone trapped nearby. He instead used his quirk to get past the villain and save the person remembering he couldn't cause any harm to the villain without breaking the law. "Your safe now..." he said with a smile helping the captured person get away.

Once the captured person was safe he ran back over just in time to push Bakugo out of the way of an attack. "Deku?!" Bakugo yelled with a scowl on his face. "Kacchan get a pro, I'll hold up the villain until they get here." Midoriya instructed not wanting his friend to get hurt. Bakugo surprisingly nodded and ran to find a pro.

Midoriya continued fighting the villain, mostly dodging not wanting to harm the villain too bad. Midoriya was starting to get tired and felt as if he was about to faint. The villain was about to activate his quirk but it didn't work. Midoriya looked around quickly and noticed the erasing hero, Erasurehead. Midoriya smiled as more pros appeared. He found the first opportunity to get away and ran as fast as he could before falling over by overusing his quirk and running too much. Luckily, Bakugo found him and caught him before he hit the ground. "Stupid Deku..." he muttered under his breath.

He took Midoriya to his apartment and to his mom, Inko Midoriya. Inko thanked him for getting her son home safely after what she saw on the news.

~small time skip to when Midoriya wakes up~

Midoriya's eyes fluttered open before rubbing them to help them adjust to the light. He looked around and noticed he was at home wondering if all of today was only a dream. He looked in his backpack and noticed the letter from UA was still there proving it was all real. He left his room and found his mom sitting on the couch watching the news about the villain he was fighting. "Mom?" Inko turned around and smiled brightly. "Izuku! I'm so happy your awake! Katsuki brought you by earlier." She said as she hugged him like it was the last time she would ever hug her son.

"Mom I have some good news." Izuku said as he pulled out the projection device out of his pocket placing it down on the table and pressing the red button. Nezu appeared again and said the exact same thing as before. As soon as the news hit Inko's ears she smiled the brightest smile she ever smiled.

"Izuku I'm so happy! You got recommended to UA! Your going to become the best hero ever!" She said with happiness as she hugged her son again.

'Only 9 months remaining until the exam...'
