Jeongin sat at his desk, he stared at the graded test in front of him in disgust. The science test was a simple 10 question test, a test that Jeongin got the highest grade on, 90%, but that didn't stop his parents from yelling at him about getting such a horrible grade, even as he tried to explain to them that he got the highest grade--they didn't listen, they never do. A knock at the door prompted a sigh to escape from Jeongin's lips, he wasn't ready to hear either of his parents complain about his 'horrible grade'.

"Jeongin, I'm coming in." his mother spoke. She opened the door slowly and closed it at the same pace, "Is that homework you're working on?"

"No." Jeongin simply responded, not bothering to turn around.

"Well your father and I have been talking and we think you should drop any new friends you've made in high school. To be honest, he said to drop your friends in general."

"What?" Jeongin questioned. Did he really hear his mother right?

"Jeongin, it's for the best. Think of your grades, of your college admission."

Jeongin turned to face his mother, "I got the highest grade in my class, I have nothing lower than an A in every class I take. I've never, ever in my life gotten anything lower than an A as a final grade and you're telling me to drop my friends? They have nothing, nothing to do with my academics and you know that."

"Jeongin, listen to me." His mother stated, "We-

"No!" Jeongin yelled, "You listen to me. I know you don't have any experience listening to me but I need you to open your ears wide. I will not be leaving my friends in any way, they are the only things in the world keeping me sane and the only people I feel like actually care and love me!"

His mother gasped, "Everything we do is to make you better!"

Jeongin stood up, he held the test in one of his hands and ripped it causing his mother to gasp once again, "You've never shown me real love, all you care about is my grades. You never ask me how I'm doing, about my dreams, anything. All you do is force your dreams onto me."

Jeongin's mother balled her hand into a fist, "When your father comes home, we will talk about this together once again. Drop your friends, Jeongin. They have only become poison at your side. Don't forget, you can't go out for a week like your father said earlier today." She left Jeongin's room, closing the door behind her as slowly as she came in.

Jeongin grabbed a pillow off his bed and screamed into it. They frustrated him so much. The notification sound from his phone stopped his screaming fest, he grabbed his phone and saw it was a text from Chan.
