…“OH MY GOD THEY’RE HERE!”
“IT’S BLACKPINK!”
“JENDEUKKIE!!!”
Our second world tour started November last year and now we’re taking over Japan.
It was that time that I was slowly beginning to accept that Taehyung and I needed to separate. He had been away for ten months and his phone call on my birthday was enough to get my spirits up.
I was denying to myself that I was missing him so bad and though I never really noticed, my friends did and it’s about time I take off my worried thoughts about him now that we’re busier than ever.
“Chaeyoungah, notice me!”
“Nooona, noona!”
“LISA UNNIE!!!!”
“YA LALISA, YOU’RE SUCH A BITCH!”
“YOU THINK YOU’RE THAT HOT, YOU’RE JUST A STICK! HOW COULD ANYONE WANT YOU!”
I balled my fist to control myself from turning my head. I looked ahead and kept a straight face. So what if I looked like a stick! Would that make you happier if I was otherwise?
I saw Jisoo unnie frown at the direction where the grating voice came from.
Our bouncers are tall and big but our fans are passionate and haters even came all the way from the sewers just to spit fire at us. I got to say, I admire their ballsy effort.
“LEAVE TAEHYUNGAH, HE’S BETTER OFF WITHOUT YOU, YOU SLUT!”
We heard some other Blinks scolded that ill-mannered girl.
I used to be nonchalant about airports and the hefty amount of pressure that came from screaming fans. I remember being able to smile genuinely at my fans and the photographers at some point of my career, but we’ve reached that level of fame. We’re on that level where we’ve had enough bullshits from haters and decided to live a vapid lifestyle in public.
Compared to my friends, I know I was the one who changed the most. Well, I don’t think “changed” was a proper term since I think I’ve always been a reserved person even before I came to Korea.
Maybe I just grew tired of this fake personality of mine where I have to impress people.
When we got to our van, I let out a sigh of relief as I lay my back on the reclined seat.
“Fans are getting aggressive lately.” Jennie unnie sighed in front.
“Tell me about it, if it weren’t for Chaeyoung behind me, I could’ve sneered at that girl earlier. I hate those people. They think they know so much.”
I smiled at their reactions, I was so lucky to have friends like them. I mean, I should be angry the most but they’re doing it for me.
“Maybe you girls need some food to get the steam out.” Our manager said and gave us some frosted yoghurt from the brown paper bag he was carrying.
“Oh yeah!”
“You’re the best!”
“Aw no, why you gotta do this man, I’m on a low fat diet!”
“Save it Jen, you’d never let this opportunity pass anyway!” I said bluntly and that earned me a painful pinch on the cheek.
As silence enveloped the ride, I saw my phone light up for a message.
I was deciding to ignore it, but when I saw that it was from Suga oppa, I opened it immediately.
