Mortals Meet

Adam McHale

Adam's POV:-

 There she was in front of me yet still so far away. Two steps and I would be next to her. But Camp didn't work that way. It was just unnatural for a beautiful daughter of Aphrodite to fall for a derp from the Hermes cabin. It was unnatural. For the umpteenth time I looked over to see her laughing with her sisters. Her gorgeous blonde hair glistened in the morning sun and her deep blue eyes glistening with tears of happiness. Her name was Quinn Tarre. What an elegant name while I was stuck with Adam just plain'ol Adam.Beautiful. Life is a mess. After breakfast we had sword fighting with Percy. So we all made our way towards the sword fighting arena. Percy said that he was too lazy and he did not want to teach so he gave us a day off. I made my way towards the beach were all the Aphrodite girls decided to swim. I sat down on the beach slid my sunglasses on and stared dreamily at Quinn. I didm't realize someone sat next to me until I heard that person say,

"You really like her don't you?" I looked around to see Percy talking to me. I decided to act cool and calm and said,

"No idea. Who you are talking about mate."

Percy just scoffed.

"Right. You totally don't know who I'm talking about right?"

"No." I said acting coolly.

"Okay. I'll agree. Hey do you know that Quinn chick daughter of Aphrodite? Well the new Apollo kid is flirting with her." Percy said.

I quickly got up and scanned the whole beach while saying,

"Where?"

When I didn't see anything, I looked back to see Percy on the floor crying  with laughter and saying,

"That was priceless."

I then walked of anger boiling inside me. Then I heard Percy calling out my name. He said,

"Hey Adam, you sure don't like her."

That guy sure knows how to piss someone off. While walking I didn't realize I bumped into Annabeth.

"I'm so sorry Annabeth. I didn't see where I was going." I apologized profusely.

"No problem Adam. So how are you?"

"Well I'm fine. But your boyfriend is a jackass."

"What did he do now?" She questioned. I narrated the whole incident to her. She just hit her hand on her head and muttered

"Seaweed Brain"

Then Annabeth smiled at literally dragged me to the Big House and said,

"I have an amazing idea!" She exclaimed. 

She then told me her full proof plan and might I say it was pretty good. So at bonfire while everyone was sitting around the fire and singing apart from Percabeth who were doing ermm well you get the point. I stood up while everyone was sitting and just gathered up all my courage and said,

"Quinn will you be my girlfriend?"

All eyes snapped to wards me and apart from Percabeth who were still busy. She got up walked over to me as if she was going to slap me. She reached me raised her hand to my face and I shut my eyes expecting the slap but instead I got something better. The crowd must have cheered but in that moment I couldn'nt hear a thing it was just me and her. 

After the kiss was over I looked at her at smiled down at our in twined fingers. I looked at Annabeth who flashed me a knowing smile. I then looked over at Percabeth. I don't know if it was the light but I saw a golden band glistening on Annabeth's fingers.
