Mortals Meet

Hazel's POV:-

It was the first actual party after the war. Thankfully everyone was fine and no one was really harmed apart from Jason who got a small fracture in his right arm. I looked around the late night campfire  we had set up in the Big House.. There were the seven of us along with Nico,Calypso and Reyna. After the war had ended the Romans and Greeks had developed a close relationship. Looking around the campfire I saw Nico, Leo, Calypso and Reyna in grossed in a deep conversation. On my left Jason and Piper were just talking to each other and having fun. And lastly right in front me there was Percabeth. Annabeth was safely tucked under Percy's arm. They were staring at the fire with their hands in twined. I felt a pang of sadness for them. In my whole lifetime(trust me I have a long one) I hadn't seen a romance faced with so many hardships like them. After making small talk it was time for Percy to open his gifts.

I looked around I saw a bit too many gifts. What can be done Percy is a very popular guy. He opened the biggest gift first it was a surfboard gifted to him by Piper. He hugged Piper and thanked her. Next he received a t-shirt from Jason, a book on smart comebacks by Nico while Leo gifted him a watch with some cool designs, Reyna gifted him a new shield which he had broken in the war , Frank and I together gifted him a comfy chair for his new house which he had recently bought with Annabeth. Lastly Annabeth gifted him a simple silver ring which had the word, "together" engraved on it.

He thanked all of us profusely and hugged each one of us. After the gift opening ceremony every one got back to their general conversations. In the midst of my conversation with Jason, I heard Leo say,

"Hey Perce, there is another gift for you here."

"That can't be possible. I have opened all the gifts. Are you sure it is for me?"

"Yes Percy. It says 'To Percy'. God I might be immature but I'm not illiterate." complained Leo.

Percy walked over to the area were all the gifts were kept and picked up the small box. He opened it carefully and read the note inside. He re-read and read it once again. He then looked around the room too see if any one was messing with him. His eyes trained back on the box. He brought the box close to his ear and shook. He then again put his hand inside the box. This time he took out something from the box and when he saw it his eyes went wide. He then rushed towards Annabeth and swooped her up in his arms and gave her a kiss on the lips. Annabeth then started laughing with glee. Curios I walked over to where the gifts were kept. I first picked the note, the note said,

"Happy Birthday Daddy!" 

Then I picked up the picture and saw that it was a print out of an ultrasound. And I then connected the dots. And felt a smile creep on my face. When I turned my attention back towards them I still saw them in the same position. I then being the Percabeth fan I am squealed really loud and rushed to congratulate them. Then due to my little outburst of feels they had to announce the announcement. After that I just prayed to every single god I could remember and prayed to them that at least from now Percy and Annabeth could live a safe life and happy life with their child.

I'm really sorry for the late update. Been really busy these days. Sorry once again.

I was listening to 'A Million Lives' by Jake Miller, ' Paradise(Never Change)' by Jack and Jack and the Lorde/Avicci/One Direction medley by Conor Maynard and lastly 'Fireproof' by One Direction.
