I woke up and arched my back. Sleeping on the ground totally sucks. I made a tally mark on my arm, where I kept track of what day it was, and realized I turned 18 today.
I started to him happy birthday and wondered through the forest, not realizing where I was going until I came upon the pack house.
His pack house.
Why would Athena bring me here, she knows how much I don't want to come back.
I tried to take control back from her, but my lack of concentration had given her too much control for me to take back by force.
She wanted to see him. She walked us into the house and up the stairs. I smelled alcohol coming from a room, and of course that's the room as chose to go in.
What I saw shocked me.
There was Damian, lying next to three empty bottles of tequila.
Still not in control, I walked over to the bed, moving the bottles so I could lay next to him.
He flung his arm across my waist and pulled my back to his chest. His wolf must've said something to mine, because she barked and gave me full control back, leaving my mind to go be with her mate.
I sighed and left the bedroom. I couldn't leave the territory without my wolf, but I didn't need to stay in the house. I decided to go out and walk around.
I was walking down the street, close to the border, when a little girl and boy ran into our territory, and straight into my legs. I picked them up, since they were both small enough to be held.
Two large wolves came barreling toward us, but stopped at the border like it would set them on fire if they so much as breathed on it.
One of the wolves shifted, and I turned the kids so they wouldn't see him naked. "Give us the kids. They're ours". I could tell he was a rogue by the way he spoke. Absolutely no respect at all.
Suddenly I knew what to say.
"I accept you as my mate, Damian" I whispered to myself. I was immediately connected to the whole pack.
I set the kids, who were crying now, down on the ground, getting on my knees in front of them.
"Do you want to stay here with me?" I asked them.
They nodded and I called my wolf back. She went through my thought and took control. "As Luna of this back I accept you," I sliced my palm with my nail, wiping my blood on both their foreheads.
I felt the Two new minds enter the pack link, and the kids yawned and fainted.
"Take them to Damian," Athena said. And so I scooped the kids into my arms, and took them to meet their new alpha.
Leaving two fuming rogues behind me.
