Another breakup

"And 5, 6, 7,8. Ok good job everyone. You've earned your break. Be back here by 5 for your vocal training." Our dance practice for the day had just ended.

"Whew, that was a good session!" Yujin said, panting as she did.

"Yeah it was. By any chance did you see wonyoung today?" I said in reply, "it doesn't seem like she had shown up for training."

"She told me that she just got a breakup and wasn't feeling up to the task today."

"She broke up again? Sigh. She just can't seem to say no to any guy that confessed to her can she?"

I knew that though. I have known that for as long as I've known her. She was always the most beautiful girl in the room and the line to be her boyfriend extends longer than the Great Wall of China. But whenever a new guy approaches, she just can't seem to get herself to turn them down. Whenever I ask her why she says, " I don't want to break their hearts".

Me and her go way back, ever since she transferred into your school after migrating over. As she did any other guy, she caught my attention immediately, and was even sitting next to me for the entire first semester. I didn't dare to make a move tho, always being to shy, too scared to approach. But she started talking to me and we became closer, even auditioning at starship together. She was incredibly talented and also stunning so it was not unexpected when she got accepted at her first attempt. I on the other hand tried 3 times before getting accepted.

"Hey you know, you should really let her know how you feel." Yujin said to me as we were leaving the building to get a drink at the nearby Starbucks.

"But...but I don't want her to say yes cause she's 'scared of breaking my heart'. Noona I want her to be genuine with her response to me if I confess."

"Yuck! I didn't know you were so corny. On a serious note though, she's very shy with crushes. I've seen her hold a crush for 3years before the dude eventually moved away. If you want any chance of being with her, you have to speak up."

Just as we entered Starbucks, we saw wonyoung seating at the counter, looking solemnly out of the window. I walked up to her and tapped her shoulder while yujin helped me grab a drink. "Hey wonyoung. It's me y/n. We're on a break from training and came her for a drink. I heard what happened, are you ok?" Wonyoung turned around, and nodded as she sniffled. Her eyes were teary, but beautiful as always, filled with the stars from a thousand galaxies. It may sound cheesy but I could stare at her eyes forever. It was then that I caught myself staring and blushing, so I quickly looked away and thought of something else, trying to hide me blushing.

Yujin returned and passed me my drink, a mango smoothie while she slurped her caramel Frappuccino like she hadn't drink in weeks. She put her hand around wonyoung, teasing her. " When are you going to get more picky with your guys? You know you really deserve this."

Wonyoung flared up "Is it really my fault? I'm here doing my best trying to not get anyone hurt. How can it be my fault at the end even when I tried?".

She was on the verge of breaking into tears at that point when yujin replied smirkly "So you do have the energy to attend training. You better turn up for singing practice later." This was how yujin was, but she can also be really empathetic and comforting to talk to. Wonyoung nodded and said "Fine I'll show up." Pouting as she did.
