Caden's POV:
"Welcome to your second home!" He said.
"Thanks." I said as a herd of dogs huddled around us, tails wagging and barking loudly.
"Sorry about them, they'll calm down in a few minutes. They don't like, bite or anything either." He added.
"That's good." I said as I petted each part the tornado of fur around me.
"If you go up the stairs to the left, that's my room, just throw your bag wherever. I'll be up after I let out the doggos."
I slowly went up the stairs, it took longer than it usually would because of how much pain I am still in but I eventually made it. I opened the door and took in what I was seeing. The nice purple walls, the dark atmosphere of the room making me feel comfortable. I put my bag by the door and went over to his stack of records on the floor by the record player he was talking about. He had all kinds of them, there was Pierce the Veil, Melanie Martinez, Twenty One Pilots, Sleeping with Sirens, Panic, My Chem, Falling in Reverse, and a lot more. As I finished looking through the stack, Ryan walked into the room.
"Okay, the dogs are out. I see you've found my music stash." He said.
"Yeah, I didn't know you listened to Melanie." I said in a thoughtful tone.
"Are you kidding? I love her. And so does my sister. It was kind of a Christmas present for us to 'share'. I don't know why our parents think we can share a record, but I guess they're expensive so." He explained.
"Cool, I would put the Pray for the Wicked one in but I don't know how to use these so I'll leave it to you." I said handing him the record.
"Right, well you will learn before you leave." He said as he set it up. As the album played, Ryan started dancing. "Come on, don't just sit there weirdo."
"I can't fucking dance." I said as I got off of the bed I sat down on.
"Well, I'm sure as hell not gonna judge you, here take my hand." He said, offering his hand in my direction.
I placed my hand in his and he held it as he continued to jump. Soon I started to follow his lead and we danced around his room for the next two songs, singing badly at the top of our lungs. Soon we got tired and layed on the floor panting.
"Damn, I'm so out of breath." I said
"Me too, I don't exactly work out or anything." He replied.
We layed there for the next song until we caught our breaths. We listened to about four more albums before falling over again.
"Wanna play truth or dare now, I'm not sure I'm ready to sit down and work yet." I said.
"Yeah, I mean we still have a few hours of sunlight left to get a start on this." He said getting up and extending his hand to me once again. I took it and he helped me up. "Let's go to the living room, that floor is much more comfy than this one."
I followed him down the stairs and around the corner before taking a seat on one side of the coffee table.
"One sec, I have to let the dogs in." He said running off to the back door. After returning, he sat across the coffee table from me.
