One noticeable difference between the Isle and Auradon was the abundance of activities. There were certain events in the latter that would have citizens on their limbs to attend a mile-distance marathon. Only there was no actual race of the sort. But it did involve a specific sport. A key mark to its marvelous life.
The whole ensemble sat on bleacher seats with banners that showed their succor and snacks. All eyes drew towards one locus to watch the incoming Tourney Field game. Michael and his two friends were among the attendees.
Evie and Mal succumbed to the exuberant ambience as the rest did, cheering excitedly as the event was about to initiate. Michael settled next to his female friends. His face had a melancholic smile as he witnessed the combative transaction. He would flinch and cover his ears whenever the cheers would escalate into deafening roars.
Within his mixed irritation and excitement was befuddlement. I honestly don't see what's the big deal of this game. He noted as the recreation ensued. Truth be told, Michael had no interest in these athletic events. Clashes via swords and various armaments and visceral altercations were more of his trait.
The confusion started to lift when he overheard information from the most devoted fans. Tourney is considered to be a mixture of these recreational athletics: Lacrosse - Hurling - Soccer - Football. Each team contained seven athletes:
Three Forwarders to catch the ball and score (The Left Forwarder - Right Forwarder - Center Forwarder).
Two Defenders to insulate their fellow members from shafts of some kind and block their foes.
One Goalie.
One Dragoneer (Whoever mans the Dragon Cannon). There was also a Kill Zone: an area where members are shot at with missiles called Dragon Fire.
The rules were smooth to understand. The tandems would have to score a ball into the net of the adverse team. Whoever has the zenithal score until the end wins.
Michael frowned as he watched each members rush towards the circular item for a score. He felt a little concerned for Carlos and Jay. With what he heard from worried adults, Tourney was considered to be treacherous. Players were actively emboldened to tackle or strike their foes down. The medical accommodation will certainly be busy.
His attention wasn't even on the Tourney Field Game. He was more convened on recent events.
The first was their mission. Evie said the Fairy Godmother will use the wand on Ben's coronation. Michael recalled with a hand on his chin. As soon as that shiny baton was freed, one of us would have to grab it quickly and find the limousine. Our return trip home should be done in a cinch! This was the kind of remonstrance he would take head-on with a determined smile. But the circumstances made it rebarbative. There were bound to be enormous unfavorable emanations if failure was achieved.
The second was the unknown aura that surrounded his necklace. A brief swivel down to his treasure manifested his befuddlement. First the fiasco at the museum and now the Kitchen... This thing had shown me a horrible nightmare and a beautiful dream... I don't know what to make of my necklace anymore... I've had this for my entire life... but the fact my necklace is capable of such feats I never crossed my mind... I wonder what else is this thing capable of.
Michael frowned as the crowd roared out in unison. No doubt someone made a score. But he took no mind to it. But those two scenarios involved that man and woman. I never met those two in real life before. But those memories always seem to involve them. He lowered his head to find his necklace. It waved with the wind. I hardly remember anything when I was a baby. Nada about my past life. I wonder if this necklace was never mine to begin with. It's kinda hard to dismiss that belief. I always see them in my dreams. Maybe this necklace belonged to them. Those moments must have been their memories. That could be why I'm keep seeing them. But why would they give this to me? And for what reason? Maybe a gift? Did they misplaced it? The amass examinations started to take whole of his mind and his face started to boil with infuriation. I don't even know if those two are my real parents! They claimed to love me... but why would they give me up?!
