It was the dawn of anew and the times for classes descended on the students of Auradon. News of the events from the Tourney Field refused to die. Students twittered from one ear to the other in a stream that showed no end. It was literally the main buzz of the establishment.

But there was one that found the constant blathers an utter irritation. He shared no alleviation on the announcement. Within the sea of scholars was Michael.

His face was to the floor as he walked down the corridors. He took no heed to the students that collided into him and vice versa. Their forms and cavils were all thrown aside. The events of the athletic event still dwelled in his mind.

And I can't believe I'm about to say this... but what's been scratching in my chest was not the love-stricken Ben proposing to my sister to be his date to the coronation. His conscious wanted to rebel over the notion. It still miffed him.

It was more on what happened with Evie.

His brown eyes narrowed. The irises flared with infuriation. But the minuscule manifestation of an maritime shine meant one scenario. No matter how hard I try...no matter how much I attempt to conceal that moment... those words still echoed in my mind.

Michael slammed a hand to his forehead. He tried to restrain the bitter recollection into the nethermost reaches of his mind. But one hint of vulnerableness was all it needed to remind him.

"You really are the best friend anyone can ever ask for."

A wave of sad bitterness and infuriation bubbled inside. But Michael shook his head and allowed a needed breath of air to ease the beats within his heart. Half of his revulsion was aimed on himself. I don't get what's wrong with me. I'm acting like an ungrateful jackass. Evie is my best friend. I'm glad she has strong faith in our friendship. A small smile took form before the frown made dominance. But even so...her comforting words had the opposite results. I felt no trace of happiness or pride. All I felt was bitterness and anger.

Yesterday was a blast to remember. The conclusion made a new habit that he was sure it lasted forever. It was the common sessions to vent out his bedridden acrimonious. His room served to be his own field house. Utilizing his hailstone abilities, Michael created frozen chisels of bodies for the function of dispensing his botheration and mental torture. But his abilities were not the lone sources used on the creations. His sword was in the abundance of materials from the Isle of the Lost and utilized to the extreme. Nix was safe from his concealed wrath. There was no restrain at all and he unleashed his emotional storm. Numerous swishes and slashes were maintained in a minuscule level to avert some sorts of misconstruction. He envisioned the frozen busts to be his enemies. Both from the Isle and Auradon. Some were recent and another allotment came from antecedent times. His tenement and limbs moved in aristocratic treads as he initiated the assaults. His fortitude and abilities almost ceded over the limits.

The venture was an utter failure. The detrimental sentiments were still stuck onto him.

Melancholic whimsical struck his mind and Michael lifted his face to confront the baldachin. He almost fancied the facsimile of his crush looking down over him with her radiant smile. Her teeth were absolute white as it shone with the sun. I can honestly remember being attracted on Evie from our first meeting. Within his frown was the hint of a small smile that desired to take form. My little sister actually introduced me to her when we were kids. I had no regrets on that encounter and was very thankful for that day.

But the blissfulness faded and it allowed the detrimental sadness to take in. It was for a few weeks since their encounter that he came to the realization. What he wished his bond with Evie would elevate towards. I love Evie. No doubt about it. She was my best friend out of all the others. The reflection on their somewhat beautiful childhood allowed an allotment of his initial delectation to be revived. Our fun was limitless. The memories were unforgettable. Truly a tale to behold...
