Roy's POV
Roy smiled as he watched Lian, his five year old daughter build a sandcastle. He, Jade, and Lian were at the beach, and Roy couldn't be happier. He had left the hero life temporarily to take care of his daughter. "We're not always gonna be here to see her grow up, Roy. She needs a Godfather, preferably not with the League of shadows, or the Court. What about that black-haired friend of yours?" Jade said, "You mean Dick? Yeah, I think he'd be a good choice. What about Tim? If something happens, we know that Lian will be cared for." Jade shrugged. "I don't know if I want my child growing up in a mansion. Yes, it would be nice, but we don't want her to get selfish." "True. I think, maybe Dick will be the best choice. He's been through a lot. He needs to cheer up. Lian will definitely help with that." "I think it's awful. Dick only wanted to keep people alive, and the Team's acting like he's killed millions of people. He made one mistake, and now he's being treated like a monster. The Team has made mistakes, and he helped them. He makes one mistake, and he's cast out." "I know, babe," Roy put his arm around Jade. "But we can't change their minds, even if they're acting like a bunch of stubborn asses. I know someone who can, though." Roy said as he and Jade walked over to Lian, and thought, 'I hope.'
