God created the heavens and the earth, and the void in between; formless and unfurnished, and darkness was over the surface of that deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his grace alight brightly.
From that light, God formed his army. And that Army was his stronghold. God named them Angels, and for each one he assigned a task.
like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, the Angles spread its wings to catch them and carries them aloft.
when God made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness, he covered it with the watery depths as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
When God sent his Spirit, life was created, and he renewed the face of the ground, who spread out the earth upon the waters, His love endures forever. Praise the LORD from the earth, the Angels told the great sea creatures and all ocean depths, When there were no watery depths, the sea creatures sprang legs and sought for dry land, , when there were no springs overflowing with water.
On the fifth day of his creation, there was violence in the clouds.
God, the almighty, did not understand.
He looked with fascination, as the clouds roared and clashed at each other. When there was complete, silence; his Word was spoken.
'let there be light,' and the clouds erupted, and came forth a flash of luminous ablaze which struck upon a tree.
The tree had turned red.
'What is this?' God asked his army, which upon his angels replied.
'you, who are the greatest, do not know. We, who are but servants, can not see.'
God turned vengeful, and sent three of his strongest angels to bring him that tree, for he could not understand what that red was.
'sometimes it turns blue, too.'
But when the angels came upon it, they screamed and called for mercy. Their flesh was blackening, and a white veil covered them in anguish.
'OH, LORD, WHAT IS THIS TERRIBLE THING?'
God did not know, still. 'What can kill light?' he wondered, for light was the very existence of life and his angels.
With his hands, he reached from his throne, through the vast blackness to the earth, and with his very hands he plucked the tree and brought it back to him.
This was truly a terrible thing, for it blackened God's hands as well.
