Michael entered God's counsel chamber, when his eyes immediately fell on the unusual looking boy, whom occupied his seat at the rather rotund table.

'What is he doing here,' his irritation was quite blunt.

'God has invited young Lucifer to join his counsel,' Cherub replied with the same ferocity of hostility towards the boy.

'Get up,' said Michael, tramping to the table. 'this seat you will not steal from me.'

Lucifer, whom was too young to understand such slurs, scrambled quickly to his feet as the Angle's great wings stood high and proud in mock. He lowered his head as he crossed the chamber to an empty seat at the back.

'What is there to be discussed?' Michael poured himself a goblet of wine.

The dominions, informed, God's counsel of the predicament. The lord has created many earths, they declared, in the vast universe there is life in every corner.

'Your antics bore me, whatever you have to say, say to quickly, and let us be done.'

'A star had thought to visit one of his creation,' Aeons told him. 'The earth was inhabited by many species of grey skinned creatures, before the star impacted and reduced the earth to dust. God has asked us to counsel him on whether to restore the damage,'

Michael shifted in his seat, sipping at his wine. 'There are innumerable earths, one tenth of it gone, and we still have eight tenth too many. I vote no restoration and adjourn.'

The counsel seemed all to agree, and vote along with Michael. They had just set matters accordingly when the yellow haired youth gave his thoughts voice.

'Does not God preach that life is precious?' he said to the rising councillors, when they had just enough of wine and cheese. 'Life is what makes this universe splendid, God did not make space to be empty.'

Michael's boiling points seemed to be in bounds. He did not like the boy. Why he was in God's counsel he could not fathom. He was no angel, Michael did not know what he was. something terrible he was sure.

It was to Michael's opinion that if one did not have mighty wings, dressed, in armours and swords, one should not be here, nor enter God's kingdom.

'You know nothing,' said Michael,

Lucifer, disagreed. 'I know that the sky is blue, and that God is the greatest. He is the most forgiving, and he, too, loves everything, and everybody equally. '

The majority of the angles sneered.

Everything but you. he has more love for you, than us all combined.

'I vote we bring his love, and grace to witness, and resurrect those poor creatures before impact.'

'They are but fish! Fish, and lizards, and tiny things, unobservable with the naked eye.'

Lucifer did not care what they were, but that they had the light in them. That light that ignited them. their souls.

'Souls?' said one of the angles. 'what is that?'

Lucifer explained that the soul is the light harnessed in their mortal shell, and when they depart it, their light is still there, in some other form.

'In truth,' Lucifer said. 'Everything, and Everyone is immortal.'

The angles tssked this folly.

'If God's creature indeed have souls, they'll find another place to occupy.' said Michael. 'For now, the meeting has been secluded. please, inform God.'

'But-'

'secluded,' Michael declared, and the dominions all left the chamber as to side with him.

Lucifer sat there for a moment longer, before he did something unusual again.

It was his eyes, he thoughts they were leaking.
