Wonwoo? Hello?i LoVe gUyS today at 12:47 PM
HELLO? are u ok? Welp imma pick u up, dont be dead, k?Mingyu had been waiting anxiously by Wonwoo's door for about a minute now. Finally, the door opened, revealing a smiling, though slightly embarrassed, Wonwoo.
"Hey, sorry I took so long. Stuff happened," Wonwoo said shyly.
"It's okay," Mingyu replied. "Why didn't you reply to my texts, though?"
"Ah, sorry. . . I was having problems with my hand, it was too hard to type."
"Are you okay?" Mingyu asked with concern.
"Yeah, it happens all the time."
"That doesn't sound fine to me."
"Well I am. Let's just go." His tone was a little colder than intended, but Mingyu was nice and Wonwoo knew he probably hadn't even noticed.
The fair was walking distance from Wonwoo's house, and Mingyu noticed that Wonwoo was quieter than he usually was when they walked together. Well, he was always quiet, but even more so today. He seemed sad. Mingyu noticed that it happened often. One moment they would be laughing together and the next, Wonwoo would be silent with an almost indescribable look in his eyes. Almost like defeat. Like he'd given up. That same look was in his eyes today.
Mingyu also noticed that he wasn't moving his right arm at all. Wonwoo was usually writing in his notebook, or scrolling on his phone or something, but not today. He wasn't doing anything. Mingyu wondered how he had gotten this mysterious injury that had rendered him unable to type.
"Hey, Wonwoo! We're here!" Mingyu gazed up at the huge ferris wheel. Wonwoo smiled slightly.
Mingyu ran directly to a cotton candy stand, his eyes wide like an excited child. Wonwoo laughed to himself. Mingyu was someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. If only. . .
"Wonwoo? Wonwoo! Hello?"
"Huh?"
"You spaced out. You do that a lot, like you have trouble concentrating or something."
"Oh. Sorry, habit, I guess." Wonwoo looked at his shoes. He rocked back on his heels, examining the sight he was so used to seeing when he didn't want to make eye contact. The laces crossed seven times before tying at the top. They were tied unevenly most of the time, and the once bright white color had been dirtied to a grayish brown. The black fabric was faded and the rubber toes were streaked with mud and scratches, perpetually dirty.
