"I wonder what sort of criteria you use to divide people into good and evil."

What was true justice?

How were you supposed to properly punish a bad person without becoming a bad person yourself?

Something at this school was wrong. Very wrong. It seemed like it all spurred from the ranking system. It changed the students, warped their minds and blurred their sense of right and wrong. There was no limit to what extend they would go to get a better number, but they did crazy things for other reasons too. For friendship, for love. Teacher Byun called it human nature.

I found it to be a very interesting concept, but also terribly hard to understand.

Chinsun's position in this school got threatened and she was prepared to do anything that it'll take to protect it. She was ready to go as far as to threaten another girl that owed her money and make her solve the problem for her. Then came the friends of that female student. They weren't really at risk, it would actually be better for them to stay on the side and hope that they won't get targeted next, but they still stepped forward and tried to do something about it. Not personally, cause that wasn't worth their ranks, but they did go to the boyfriend of the girl that got threatened by Chinsun.

Teacher Baekhyun was leaning against the window sill of his office room and listening to my story about the girls that I followed earlier. His face was serious, he took off his glasses and massaged the bridge of his nose before lifting one finger in the air. '' First of all... Do you really have to keep stalking the students? Is there really no better way for you to find information? You know, you can always try befriending them... someone besides Saeri obviously. Don't you think that it would be fun to find a group of girls like the ones that you are talking about and go to coffee shops with them or something similar? ''

I was laying on the small couch in his office and my head was hanging over the edge. My two coloured eyes were watching his upside down figure, between the strands of white hair that were falling on my face. '' Fun? Sensei, what exactly does that word even mean? ''

His eyes slightly widened with disbelief and at first he seemed to think that I was messing with him. Then he sighed, shook his head and turned his back to me. He leaned out the window and murmured: '' It's sunny right now, but it should rain again in a few days. You told me that the doctor man lets you out of the lab when it's raining, right? You are welcome to visit my house and I will teach you about what fun means. Just ring the doorbell and come...uh... properly clothed, cause we'll be going out. That means that shoes are mandatory. ''

I sat up, put my hands on the edge of the sofa and leaned forward. My two coloured eyes were shining with a hint of interest. '' Really? Sensei and Pino are going to have fun together? ''
