Cherry blossom petals were falling on the ground like snowflakes and excitement was hanging in the air. It was the beginning of a new school year and students in their uniforms were in the hallways of Aoyama academy. Friends were standing around in groups and talking and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. It was already far in to spring, but the last winter snow melted only yesterday.
Most of them had no idea about the horrible past of the school that they enrolled to. The principals changed, the terrifying deaths got covered up and the students who lived through the nightmare graduated and applied to college. There was one difference though. There was no ranking system anymore. Not here or anywhere else. Grades went back to how they used to be and the students were their own people instead of being brought down to numbers.
A white haired just made her way through the gates of the familiar school and looked up at the sky. Her two coloured eyes followed a bird that soared up towards the clouds. Then the sound of screaming caught her attention.
Two girls were arguing because one accidentally shoved the other and got her skirt covered with dirt. They seemed to be friends, but now they were threatening to never speak to each other again. One was convinced that the other purposely wanted to ruin her first day of school.
'' I'm sorry, but would you mind if I got involved? '' The girls turned their heads and looked at the white haired woman with surprise. She smiled at them and pointed at the one with the messed up uniform. Then she took out the colourful bow that was stuck in her white hair and held it towards her. '' Why don't you take this? I'm sure it'll distract everyone from the mud on your uniform. And you... ''
She turned at the other girl that accidentally shoved her friend. '' You should apologise to your friend and accept the blame for your mistake. You didn't do it on purpose, but it was still your mistake. If you are sincere, I'm sure that your friend will understand you and accept your apology. ''
The girls looked at each other, then the one who got the woman's bow, handed it to her friend. '' Forget it. I understand that you pushed me because you were nervous. You got a bad haircut just a week before your first day of school and I've been way too distracted by my own problems and really bad at trying to cheer you up. Take this. ''
The friend accepted the colourful bow with a smile and they were about to thank the white haired woman for stopping their argument, but by then she was already gone.
She was making her way to a classroom that she knew all too well and smiling with satisfaction.

The students were already seated when the white haired woman walked in the classroom. The distracted teacher was standing by the opened window and wiping his glasses when she arrived. He was looking outside and he only faintly nodded in her direction, without really turning his head to face her. He spotted someone earlier that completely caught his attention. Now he was scanning the outside gardens to try and see her again, but at the same time he was also asking himself if perhaps it wasn't just a vision all along.
That person has been out of his life for quite a while now after all.
The woman bowed at the class and smiled. '' Hello everybody! I am here as part of the 'Moral compass', a project that got started by scientist Park Chanyeol! We are a group of cyborgs that have been created to bring up the happiness levels of the youth! This year I will be joining you at Aoyama academy and I will try to make your time here as fun as possible! You can expect different afternoon sports and arts activities, fun trips and everything else like that! Oh and my name is Pino, by the way! ''
The teacher slowly turned his head and his eyes grew wide with shock.
There she was, smiling, sincerely smiling and Byun Baekhyun suddenly felt the warmth of spring. A small smile found it's way on his face too. '' You forgot to mention that education comes first and fun comes second, Pino. ''
The white haired woman turned at the class and thought about it for a moment before she snapped with her fingers and announced: '' Choco pies for everyone that passes their exams! ''
The students cheered in excitement and her smile grew even wider. The teacher stepped closer to her and murmured: '' You're back, Pino. ''
She slowly nodded and winked at him. '' I hope you won't try to take what you said back, because I am here now and I am not going anywhere. Are you ready for a whole new round of my signature dumb questions, sensei? ''
No matter what happened and how much time passed, he will always be that for her.

Spring was in the air, another school year just began and peace reigned at Aoyama academy again.
