After breakfast, everyone sat outside in the courtyard area, Lily by herself like always. A couple of the patients were fighting, security trying to break it up. Just watching on, they ended up taking the patients away.
"My offer still stands." Natemare said, leaning against the wooden picnic table.
Lily raised an eyebrow. "What offer?"
He gave her that look. "You should know."
Thinking, she remembered. The deal he wanted to make with her when she first came to this place.
For her to completely let him in. Meaning he will become real. Not a figment of her imagination. A few times, she almost gave in, but she still said no.
She suddenly remembered the times that he brushed up against her arm, how it felt to her. Like it belonged. Like it almost felt right."I'm still saying no, Natemare.." She said, snapping out of it.
He chuckled. "Your mind says differently."
Lily was about to chew him out when she saw Sean sitting on the opposite side, staring right at them.
But what sent chills down her spine..was how he was staring. Almost glaring...like he wanted to murder them right where they sat."You see what I'm seeing?" Lily asked, getting no response. Looking to where Natemare was, he was gone. Rolling her eyes, she turned her attention back to Sean. "Like always..."
Standing up, she made her way over to him, that murderous look on his face no longer there, but he did look confused.
"I don't remember sitting here..." Sean said.
"And why is that?" She asked, stopping in front of him.
"I..." He lowered his voice. "It's hard to explain..."
Lily plopped down beside him. "I have time. So explain."
Sean let out a frustrated sigh, looking over to her. "You wouldn't believe me..."
"Try me."
Running a hand through his hair, he thought of how to say it. "It...it's something people created for me on Deviantart a while ago...basically--"
"Your dark ego." Lily said. "I remember that."
Sean nodded. "Yeah...and..he's real.." He bit his lip. "He's in my head, Lily...and he won't leave..."
Lily's eyes widened. "Antisepticeye??" When he nodded again, she scoffed. "Damn...and here I thought mine was bad.."
Sean raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"N-Nothing.." She said, standing up. "So..what're we gonna do to get him out?"
"I can't do anything about it..like I said he's not leaving me...ever.."
Lily folded her arms. "Well...we'll figure something out.."
"Good luck with that..." He said, walking away. "It's not that easy." He added as he passed her.
Lily watched him walk back inside the building before shaking her head, turning away. She wondered how this was possible with him. Then again, she has the same issue, so she shouldn't be so quick to judge.
The guards yelled out that it's time to go back inside, and she followed the crowd through the doors.
Wandering the halls, she watched Sean go back into his room, not making eye contact with anyone.
"I heard he's got a devil on his shoulder." One of the patients said, startling Lily as she whirled around. It was another girl, with blonde pigtails, and blue eyes.
"What do you mean by that, Grace?" She asked.
She put her hands on her hips, giggling. "He's not who you think he is..from what I heard around here...he's done some bad bad things. Very bad."
Lily raised an eyebrow. "What kind of bad things?" Was she talking about Anti? Or someone else?
Grace laughed again, running off, leaving her with a ton of questions on her mind.
She was about to head back to her room when she heard yelling. Only this time, it came from Sean's room. Going over there, she pressed her ear against the door, hiding from view.
No! I won't let you!
Yes...you will..you already have. Now it's my turn.
Alarm ran through her, hesitant to go inside. She wanted to burst through the door, to see what was going on. But when she peeked through the window, he wasn't there.
"What the hell?" She whispered to herself. Standing up, she had her hand on the doorknob, ready to open it up.
Lily screamed, jumping back when she saw a face suddenly appear in the window. It was all green and glitchy, it's eyes black. Breathing fast, she felt a ton of eyes on her as she ran back to her room. Locking her door, she sat on the floor against it, tears shining in her eyes.
Hugging her knees to her chest, she started crying. She didn't want to believe it really was real, that he was lying about it. He wasn't. What he told her was true.
Antisepticeye really is real.
