May month went very well, full of love and sweetness for Siya. June brought with it some surprises.
Their 10th results were to come in June. Siya was hoping for 95%. " You'd definitely get it.... You deserve it..... You've worked for it.." Karan used to tell her whenever she was worried for her results. It seemed as though Karan was more confident about Siya's results than Siya herself. Everyone had been eagerly waiting for the results.
On the day of the result, Siya was a bit tensed, which probably she had never been, even during exams. She had been trying to call Karan since morning, but he seemed not to answer. This worried her even more as Karan never ignored her calls.
In the afternoon, around the time when results were to be displayed, Siya's phone rang. But to her disappointment, it was not Karan. It was Kiran. " Hey!!! It's out.... Go check that fast..... " She said. " Oh is it...... Okay thanks. " Siya answered her in a 'not so excited' tone. Kiran quickly understood something was wrong. " What's the matter?? " She inquired. Siya told her about Karan and that she was too worried for him. Kiran told her not to worry and that he might be in some important work.
Siya gave a sigh and proceeded to check her result. Siya's eyes widened in happiness seeing the computer screen. Although she knew she had done well, she couldn't register the fact that she had actually made it. Siya had scored a 94 and she was very much satisfied with that. She quickly ran to her mother and hugged her as though a big chunk of rock had been removed from her head.
She grabbed her phone to check out on Karan. But there was still no response from him. Siya was beginning to worry more about him.
It was late evening when Karan finally called her.
Siya : " Finally got the time to call me........ Where the hell have you been....... Any idea how worried I was....... You....
Karan : " Love, I'm really sorry... I was out and I forgot my phone at home.....
Siya : " How on Earth can you forget your damn phone!!! " ( Siya was very angry with him ).
Karan : " Sorry......... "
Siya : " Don't talk to me..... "
Siya said and disconnected the call. Karan knew she'd be angry, and he knew what he had to do. They were going to meet after a few days at school for collecting their report cards. And Karan was planning something to vanish her anger.......
