Part 15

So its been at least a year since Junior turned me into a wolf. We have since then moved. Us and the others do not stay in one place very long. I'm not gonna say it hasnt been hard not to run back home and pretend that nothing has happened to me but... in reality I have indeed changed. Speaking of change I have gone through a whole makeover. Instead of the short black hair I have highlighted it with a honey blonde. And even though im slender i have toned up some too. The dark brown eyes I have are now a bit brighter. One...I'm as happy as I can be even if I can change into a wolf. And two...well I'll let you figure that out. In truth the real reason we left was because naturally it was forbidden for wolves to bite humans. They wouldn't live through the intense pain. But me...I was proof that one could still survive. But I was more dangerous and stronger. Apperently, I was what they called 'The demon wolf' Why I was chosen?...we have no idea but they said the only good demon was a dead one and Junior was not about to lose me a second time. Surprisingly, I have not had anything to bad happen since my first rage. Junior and the others have been helping me cope the best ways they can think of but I think we all won't be ready for what's to come. You see...I have now gotten the ability to sense when something bad is about to happen. And so far...I haven't been wrong.

I sat on a large rock watching over the others as they jumped into a small pool of water from a waterfall. 'Come on Zania!' Brent yelled in my mind while making a short bark. I waved my tail saying 'You guys enjoy yourselves' Then I jumped across some rocks leading up to the waterfall and followed a small deer trail up to the top and jumped to a rock a bit close to the edge of the falls and looked down. Everybody was down below. I breathed in then closed my eyes for a brief moment then thought about what I was going to have to do. Lately, I've been staying more and more in my wolf form. I already knew what was wrong with me but I wouldn't let the others know. A small breeze blew past me and I caught the scent of a human. I glanced back slightly my eyes scanning the undergrowth then I sat down. It was hunters. I listened silently then heard the click and stood up before lifting my head letting out a short alert howl and looked back toward the bushes and snarled before jumping over the edge. I closed my eyes and then splashed into the water. Reaching the surface again I looked around then heard 'Zania over here!' from Mya as she got out and swam toward her and the others as bullets hit the water on either side of me. I climbed out and shook myself before taking off with the others. We ran for about an hour stright till Brent whined about stopping. I didnt mind but Junior was restless and wanted to make sure we were far away. 'Junior we'll be fine. Besides its dark anyways' I said to him and nudged him and he turned snapping at me just barely catching my ear. I flattened my ears then stepped back as he yelled 'Leave me alone!' I stared at him as he stalked off a bit of a distance away from us all and sat down with his back to us. Then I blinked and said 'Tyler...Mya. Come with me to hunt' I turned walking off with them behind me and tracked down a herd of elk and brought two down and dragged them back. I told the others to eat and grabbed a chunk of meat off the second elk and walked over to Junior and dropped it beside him. 'Got you something to eat' I said flattening my ears and he didn't move or say anything. 'You know my mother used to tell me if something is bothering ya...you should speak your mind. It always made me...'-'What makes you think something is bothering me?' he snapped back looking at me quickly teeth bared. I stepped back and then looked away saying 'I didn't say that something was bothering you...I... I just figured that maybe...something was...on your mind' I glanced back at him and he was still looking at me. I sighed then said 'N...nevermind. I didn't mean to upset you. I just thought... ' I trailed off then shook my head slightly before walking off to a small stream and sitting down and blocked everybody out. That had been the first time he'd snapped at me since the change. I curled up beside the stream and listened to crickets and frogs for a little while before hearing the bushes rustle behind me. I shut my eyes then felt Junior nudge me. I opened my mind to him and he said 'Im sorry. I didnt mean to snap at you honestly. I just wanted to make sure we were safe' I opened my eyes and lifted my head to look at him. 'I forgive you' I said and he laid down behind me with his head over my back. 'J..Junior...I have to tell you something' I said getting up moving away from him and held my head down. 'Was is it?' he asked coming over and nudging my shoulder. I took in a breath and looked up at him then started 'Well...I wanted to say that....I umm i...' I trailed off smelling the air and felt a bad feeling. I tensed looking away saying 'Wolves. I smell others' He tensed his body then said 'Can we outrun them?' 'Guys we gotta move!' I yelled to the pack taking off with Junior behind me. I rushed passed the others leading them away and then suddenly got tackled by a large male. He easily pinned me down and growled in my mind 'You value you and your packs life stay still' I bared my teeth but did as he said as other wolves surrounded my pack. 'Jake! Leave her alone!' I heard another male yell coming into view. The male, Jake let me up and Mya rushed over helping me up. I nodded to her then heard Jake growl 'We were downwind of you. How do you smell us?' I stared at him as I walked to stand beside Junior. He nosed me and I relaxed and glanced at him. 'She has a weird feeling that she feels' Junior said for me and I looked at the wolves around us. 'What do you want?' I slightly growled quite unsure of the situation. 'You speak bodly for a female' the other male said surprised. I flattened my ears as I noticed there were no females amongst this group. I growled moving closer to Mya and she caught on to my indication. Micah, Brent and Tyler stood on either side of us while Junior spoke 'Forgive my mate...she...has not yet been broken in' I twitched my ear in annoyance at Junior's words. 'What?...You...' I started to say to him stepping closer and in a quick motion turned lunging at me his teeth cutting into the skin on my neck and I cried out. He blocked everybody else out and said 'For once will you try not to be an alpha!' I blinked at his words then he let me up and I rolled over standing up. He had snapped at me again. Why was he doing this? It wasn't like I had wanted to be an alpha. I held my head down in submission blocking out all conversation while Junior conversed with the two lead males. I stared at the ground the whole time till Brent nudged my shoulder. I followed after him as he followed Junior and the others. I continued to look at the ground as we walked. 'Zania?' Micah said and I looked up and noticed I had fallen a bit behind. I stopped suddenly and as if sensing my pain Junior turned quickly. I took a step back and Brent stepped closer saying 'Easy Zania. Calm...calm' I took in a quick breath feeling my blood boil but kept it down enough and shook my head saying 'Nothing. Look can we find a place to crash for the night?' I walked forward past them all glancing at Mya. She followed after me quickly and I spoke to only her 'Mya...I... '-'I know' she said and I looked at her and she waved her tail saying 'Congratulations' 'Thanks' I said looking down and then after a bit we stopped walking and I looked back at the others and Junior came up saying 'Want to rest here?' I simply nodded and curled up and closed my eyes. I had nothing left to say to him.
