Part 5

I sat in first block letting everything replay in my mind and then I couldn't take it. I grabbed my bag and walked out. The teacher called my name and I ignored him and walked out the building and started down the street. I started into the trees and tossed my backpack to the side and kept walking. After a while I came to a creek and sat along the rocks looking at the fish swim. I sighed and pulled my knees to my chest and put my jacket hood over my head. I stared at the water for a long time before hearing a twig snap. I looked up then stretched my legs out and pulled them back toward me and heard another twig snap. I looked around again and then said "Hello? Anybodythere?" No answer. I sighed and got up and started walking again. Then I started feeling like I qas being followed. I paused looking around then I saw movement. Me being me I took off running and whoever or whatever took off as well. I jumped over a fallen tree and ducked around trees quickly. Back at my hometown I was in track. Only thing was that I was not a long distance runner. Yep, a sprinter. I turned slightly going around a tree and tripped down a slope. I hit my head on a rock and slipped unconcious. When I came to again it was completely dark. I sat up slowly and touched my head looking around and then got up and went back up the slope. I leaned against a tree for a moment then started back. Although I had no idea where I was going. Then I heard the crunching of leaves echoing behind me. I started to run as I looked back even if I was still dizzy. I turned behind a large thick tree and pushed my back against it. I heard whatever it was stop and walk around then start to wander off. I sighed quietly and peeked out before stepping out and not seeing anything. I rubbed my head then turned around and ran into somebody. I gasped opening my mouth but a hand covered it and pushed me back against the tree. "Shhh its only me" I heard Junior say in my ear. He pulled back some so I could see his face and I frowned pushing him back whispering "Damn it did you have to scare the hell out of me?" He rolled his eyes and said "Why'd you leave school?" "Does it really matter? Its my business...not yours" I replied and started to move but he gently pushed me back saying "Is it what I said about you not belonging here?" I frowned saying "Doesn't matter" I moved away and ducked under his hand as he started to push me back again. I started walking again and he said "You're going the wrong way" "I don't care. Anywhere is better than the school, my house....you" I answered back and kept forward then paused and looked back. He wasn't standing there anymore. I grunted and turned back and he was standing in front of me. I stepped back a couple times saying "Stop that!...and leave me alone!" He just stared at me and I rolled my eyes and pushed past him but he grabbed me by the arm pulling me close to him and covering my mouth again. I frowned and started thrashing about and he snapped quietly in my ear "Would you be quiet! They'll find us!" I stopped and he moved us both back behind a tree and after a bit of silence I could hear a couple male voices. They got closer and one sounded familiar. "I think its weird she'd choose to leave her back pack laying around. Besides she doesn't even seem like one" male one said. Male two: "Those are the ones you must be care fularound. They're more than likely much older and exprienced" Male one: "Well still say..."-"Stop. Be quiet for a moment" male three said. I could hear one walking closer in our direction and started to get nervous. "Close your eyes and don't open them till say so" Junior whispered so quietly I barely heard him even by my ear. He looked at me and I frowned. "Trust me" he said. I rolled my eyes and closed them and he quickly moved away and took off running. "There he is!" male one yelled and I heard him rush by the tree. "Stay on him!" the second male yelled following behind him along with the third a bit slower though. I opened my eyes again and could see the three males running. A hand touched my shoulder and jumped away and turned seeing Junior. "If you don't...." I trailed off as he came closer saying "Why'd you come out here?" "...to...what?" I said confused again. "Of all places you came out here. Why?...and I want the truth" he said grabbing me by the arm so I couldn't go anywhere. "I...I don't know. I just wanted..." I trailed off shaking my head and snatched my arm away snapping "Wanna know why?...Because of you! You're rude, heartless, and a bully!" I started walking again in the direction I had been going and the froze hearing a low growl. I looked back seeing Junior shaking. "Junior?" I said turning around and then in a quick moment he turned to face me and now wasn't human. In his place stood a large, pitch black wolf with yellow eyes. I swallowed and shook my head and turned taking off. I hadn't probably gone 10 feet when I tripped and tumbled forward. I sat up and looked around quickly and saw Junior dashing forward teeth bared. I scooted backwards to a tree and clutched the tree tightly. He then started walking up teeth still bared. I turned my head away begging "P..please don't kill me. I...I was only upset" He growled and snapped at my feet and leaped forward that way he stood directly above me. I shut my eyes. "I'm sorry. I'msorry...please...I didn't mean it" I begged and then heard him say aloud "Scared of the big bad wolf huh?" I opened my eyes seeing him standing above me back as a human. "Stand up" he said. I didn't move. "Now!" he snapped. I quickly jumped up and closed my eyes. "Not so determined now are you?" he asked. I breathed in and flinched when he brushed my cheek saying "You humans all think you're big and tough. But really if you're shown who the real tough ones are you leave us alone. This is my last warning...stay away from my pack." I nodded and he stepped back pointing in the right direction. I took off again and found my backpack and walked home. Luckily when I got there my mom wasn't home due to working late. I went to my room and laid across the bed before sighing and taking a shower and going to bed.
