Part 13

There were voices talking. I couldn't understand them. Why were they talking? Why couldn't I see anything? What happened? I tried thinking but it was still blurry. I tried moving but couldn't even do that. I started to panic. "Keep her still" I heard a male say clearly all of a sudden. I didn't know this one. I felt two hands holding my arms down and it didn't help so I thrashed some more. "I said keep her still" the male spoke again. I shook my head yelling although I couldn't hear myself. "She can sense you. She doesn't know who you are"Junior spoke and I stopped thrashing. 'Junior' I thought and the man spoke again. "But she knows yours. Now talk to her to keep her calm while I finish" Wait why did he need to keep me calm? I felt a slight prick in my arm and I took in a breath. 'Zania I want you to listen to me okay?' Junior said in my mind. 'Junior? Why are you talking to me in my mind?' I asked curiously ignoring the pain in my arm. 'Im glad you're okay but I need you to hear me out when I tell you this okay?' he asked. 'Okay....???' I said back. I heard him take in a deep breath then said 'Im talking to you because you're about to be apart of the pack...' I stayed silent for a moment then gave a mental chuckle saying 'Yea right. Now really how are you doing it? And why is this other man...OUCH!' My heart sped up at the pain in my arm and I tired to open my eyes but they were covered. 'Hes the pack healer. You havent started to heal on your own just yet' Junior said a bit nervous. I didn't understand still so I started to move then heard the healing man say "I said keep her calm. And hand me that syringe" I took in a deep breath. I hated needles. Why did he need a syringe? I heard a monitor start beeping. 'Zania easy okay. You have to stay calm' Junior said in my mind again. My heart still started beating faster and the monitor did the same but louder. 'Zania' Junior said again. I started thrashing again and a weird sound came from my throat. "Junior stop her" the healer said. I felt Junior hold my arms down and that made me panic more. My mind was getting fuzzy again. Suddenly a sharp pain shot through my whole body and I gasped. "Shes starting to change. Junior you have to calm her down...now" the healer said slightly worried himself. That sound came from my throat again and another wave of pain and a bone popped in mt side. I slightly cried out and heard Junior say aloud "Zania...listen to me please you've got to take deep slow breaths" My body jerked on its own as it felt like my body was on fire. Another bone popped and then another and I dont know what happened after that. But, I found myself in the woods on the ground. I looked around in the darkness then looked at myself. I was covered in dried blood and dirt let alone naked. I breathed in deeply trying to think of what happened but a twig snapping caught my attention. I turned my head then stood up on shaky legs and started walking using the trees for my weight. I had no idea where I was. After a while of walking I heard a twig snap again and then looked back seeing a shadow and fear took over and I went into a run. I stumbled about clumsilyand then went around a bend and ran into somebody and arms went around me. I let out a shoet scream and heard "Its me Zania! Its me!" Brent yelled. I stared at him and then cried "I...I don't know what happened. I Don't know! I have blood all over me!" He patted my head then said while taking a jacket off and wrapping it around me "I know I know. It's gonna be okay though. Dont worry about it" I let him pick me up in his arms and he started walking. He walked in silence and then I smelled something good. 'Deer' my mind told me and I shook my head saying aloud "Brent?...what happened?" He took in a breath then said "Y...you shifted. Your heart rate rose way above the normal and you went into a rage. You...um..nearly killed Tyler...and broke Junior's arm" I stared up at him in shock and then blurry images ran through my mind. I remembered the smell of blood and fear. "Are...are they okay?" I asked and he nodded silently. A felt guilt in my stomach then looked down and then heard some howls. I tensed and he stopped standing me up. I heard paws hitting the ground as they ran toward us. I was tempted to run. I kept still though and as they got closer I felt like running even more. Suddenly, a grey and black wolf came out the bushes and shoved itself between me and Brent and it looked at me teeth bared. I glanced at Brent but he was cornered by two other wolves. The grey/black wolf which I noticed now was a male growled and I flinched then stared at him and he leaped at me. My eyes went wide and then he had me pinned. He snapped his jaws in my face and then I quickly pushed my fear away and kicked him off and jumped back up. A deep sound came from my throat and all three wolves lowered themselves to the ground. I breathed in calmly then figured I must've shifted again. 'Zania!?!' I heard. It was Junior. I ignored him then waved my head and the wolves moved away from Brent. He looked down after I looked at him. Then the bushes rustled and a pure black wolf came out. Junior. He stared at me a bit amazed then stepped towards me. I growled and stepped back. 'Easy Zania....you know I'm not going to hurt you....or Brent' he said in my mind. I blinked then relaxed a little and he slowly and cautiously walked closer. I slightly growled and he did the same before touching his nose to my shoulder. I relaxed fully and then sighed and he nuzzled me. I waved my tail saying 'Im...I'm so sorry. I should've listened' He moved his muzzle over my head then answered 'Its okay. We shouldn't have pushed you over rhe edge' I suddenly got weak in the legs and collapsed and he slid me over his back and I shut my eyes.
