The death of the broken record

[ narrators pro ]
"So Regina went into labour a week late" Emma says remembering that day like no other.

"Did you find out in a scan what the sex was" the detective asked.

"No. Regina and I. We wanted it to be a surprise" she replied thinking about one of the happiest days of her life.

"Did anything else happen in the time that might be relevant" she asked.

"No. Only that Ellie now entered Regina's life again" Emma shrugged.

"Continue please"

"She was screaming the car down as we drove. Her contractions were close but she had been for ages" Emma continued.

[ Emma's pro ]
"OW MY GOD! HOW MUCH LONGER" Regina shouts in the private room we requested for when she is in labour.

"Do you want me to get a doctor" I asked.

"If another person puts there fingers inside my vagina I'm going to snap them off" she snapped taking deep breaths.

"Alright no doctor. Does it hurt more than before" I asked having no clue about pregnancy and labour.

"Yeah because it's longer. I can feel this baby is close. Emma get it out of me"

"Regina baby calm down" I say rubbing her back.

I kissed her head softly. She rested her head on my chest and was breathing quickly. I rapped my arms around her.

"It hurts. Please get this child out now" she asked breathing heavily now.

"I'll get a doctor. Wait here"

I helped her sit on the bed and left the room to find a doctor. When I did I got her to come to the room to help Regina. She checked Regina before looking up at her.

"Your ready Regina. Let's get you changed" the doctor says smiling.

Regina smiled weakly and nods. They changed her into a hospital gown before being put onto her hands and knees.

"Why is she like that" I asked.

"It's easier to give birth like that. Regina has been in labour for hours and this will be better for her" she says looking up at me.

[ narrators pro ]
"How long was she in labour and if you know how long with Henry" the detective asked.

"10 hours. Henry I think she said she was only 3 and a half" Emma replied trying to remember.

"That's a big difference"

"That's why this hurt her more than Henry. Also he was easier"

"Alright. We'll continue"

[ Emma's pro ]
Regina screamed at the top of my voice and squeezed my hand tight. I have one arm around her and the other holding her hand.

"Alright one more push" the midwife says who is sat in front of Regina's face while the doctor the other end.

"Did you hear that babe. One more" I softly says.

Regina nods and took a deep breath.

"Is this your girlfriend" the midwife asked Regina.

"Yeah. Alright let's do this" Regina says breathing heavily.

She pushed one last time. Squeezing my hand and screaming the place down. I watched as the baby came out. Regina let go off my hand as she relaxed. I turned around and threw up into a bucket that had water in previously.

"Is she ok" the doctor asked.

"She doesn't like blood. Where's my baby" Regina asked.

I stood up and looked round. Regina was now led on her back with the doctor rapping the baby up.

"It's a girl Regina" the midwife says taking the baby from the doctor.

I walked over to Regina as she took the baby. She had the biggest smile on her face. She looked down at the baby and couldn't stop the smile. I haven't seen her this happy for awhile. Regina had so much pain in her life and seeing how happy she is right now made me smile.

"Em. We have a girl" Regina says taking me from my thoughts.

I placed my hand on her shoulder and smiled brightly. She lifted the baby up to me and I took her. I held her close and smiled a her.

"She's beautiful. What are we calling her" I asked with tears in my eyes.

"I don't know. I only have boys names" she says with a laugh.

I handed the baby back to her and sat down on the bed.

"How about Hallie" I suggest.

"That's beautiful. I love it" Regina replied smiling.

I leaned down and kissed her softly. She rested her head on mine and smiled.

"I love you" I whispered.

"I love you too" she whispered back. "But why? Why do you love me" she asked.

"Beats the hell out of me... but I know I do"

She rests her head on my shoulder and cuddled into me. I kissed her head softly and kept her close.

"Can you fill this out please" the midwife asked handing me a form.

"Sure" I replied taking them.

"So were going with Hallie. Hallie Mills" I asked.

"Yeah. I like Hallie. It's such a pretty name for such a pretty little girl"

"Alright. Hallie it is. Date of birth. 2nd of March. Birth mother. Regina Mills. Birth father. Robin. What's his second name" I asked having no clue.

"Locksley. He hated it" she says not looking up from Hallie.

I filled the form out and handed it back. Regina looked up at me and smiled.

"She looks like you" I say smiling softly.

Regina looked back at her daughter and kissed her head. I kissed Regina's head and looked at Hallie.

"Will you marry me" Regina asked.

"No" I replied looking at Hallie still. Regina looked up at me quickly. "I'm kidding" I laughed.

"God don't do that to me" she sighed.

"Karmas a bitch"

"Language" Regina says glaring at me.

"Sorry" I laughed. "Of course I'll marry you" I smiled.

I leaned down and kissed her softly. Hallie made a little noice. Me and Regina giggled as we pulled away.

"Is that ok with you" Regina asked Hallie while looking down at her.

"I'll go get Henry. Do you want the girls in here or just him" I asked standing up.

"Bring them all. Everyone can meet our daughter"

I winked at her and left the room. I went to the waiting room and they all looked up at me. Henry came running over and hugged me. I hugged him back and smiled at everyone walking over to me.

"It's a girl. Little Hallie" I say making them all smile more.

"Can we see her" dani asked.

"Yeah. Come on in" I say walking towards the room.

We opened the door and I put Henry down. He rushed over and sat on the bed.

"Henry meet your new sister. Hallie" Regina says as he smiled at the baby.

"I just realised they are both H" I say with a chuckle.
