"After that I went home and done what I said I needed to do. The next day I knew Regina was working so I went down to her office" Emma says sitting up more in her chair.

"And then what" the detective asked.

"I saw her secretary leaving the building..."

"Where you going" I asked confused.

"Mayor Mills wants to be alone. I think you'll be ok since your her girlfriend but she's in a foul mood" Abi replied with a soft smile at me.

"She sent you home" I say a little shocked.

"Yeah. I'm still being payed but she doesn't want anyone near her at the moment" she says looking a little worried for me. "Good luck. She's really not happy"

"Cheers. Do you know why" I asked.

"No. All I heard was a mirror smash in her office. I went in and saw she threw a wine glass at it. She was sat on her chair and told me to go home" she shrugged.

"Ow god. Thanks. I'll see you later"

"Bye" Abi smiled before walking away.

I walked into the building and went up the stairs to her office. The was a few small lights on but the main one is off. The door is shut and it's silent. I look through the window that I can faintly see through to see if I can see her figure anywhere. I tried opening the door but it was locked.

"Regina I know your in there" I sighed.

"Not now" she says.

I can tell she's leaning against the door. I leaned against the door frame and sighed softly.

"Babe don't shut me out. Let me help you" I softly say. She doesn't say anything or move. I can here a small sound of crying. "Why are you crying Gina? What happened" I asked softly but still demanding.

"No please leave. I want to be alone" she sobbed.

"I'm not going to give up on you. I love you" I say softly. No response. "Do you know what a soulmate is? It's a... well it's like a best friend but more. It's the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person. It's the one person who... who knew you and accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would... I think your my soulmate" I admit.

She stayed silent. I sighed and stood up straight. I heard her crying get louder.

"I'm sorry" is all she says.

"Please let me in"

"No" she quickly says. "I said I want to be alone. I warned you Emma. I'm broken and everyone knows it. I don't know why you would want me as a soulmate"

"Because I'm fucked up in love with you" I answered.

"Your a fool then. Please leave"

"Fine. Don't say I didn't try" I sighed before walking away. I don't know why I still bother. I shouldn't put myself through this. I went back to the door and leaned against it. "If your going to keep doing this to me then I can't be with you. You keep shutting me out even when I spill my guts out" I admit.

She said nothing. I sighed and walked away. I give up with her now. I left the building and got into my car. I put my hands on the wheel and my head on the back rest. I started crying softly to myself. I don't get her anymore. I drove home quickly before I went back into the building. When I got home I went straight to my room. On my mirror on the dressing table I had lots of pictures all over it. You couldn't see yourself in the mirror. I took a picture from the middle. It was of me and Regina.

"Do you have the photo on you" the detective asked.

"Yeah. One second" Emma says getting her phone out. She went on her photos and clicked on the picture. "Here" she says showing the detective.

"It's my favourite

"It's my favourite. It always has been. She just looks so happy"  Emma adds smiling softly.

"That is beautiful Emma. You seem really happy" the detective softly smiled.

"Yeah we were. I loved her so much" Emma admits looking down.

"Please continue"

"So as I was saying..."

I led on my bed looking at the photo. I started crying softly and placed the photo on my chest. I closed my eyes and let a few more tears out.

"Hey em" Rudy says walking in. I didn't move from my position but did cry a little more. "What's wrong"

Rudy sat on the bed and I placed the photo on the bed. I rested my head on her lap and curled up in a ball. She stroked the top of my head softly to sooth me.

"I broke up with Regina" I softly says.

"What? Why" she says shocked.

"Because she keeps shutting me out. I can't be with someone who barely think of me as a friend let alone a girlfriend" I sighed upset.

"It's ok. She obviously doesn't deserve you if she treats you like that. You deserve someone who will treat you how a girl should be treated" Rudy says holding me close.

"Thank you. I really did love her. Remember the soulmate speech we all know" I asked.

"You told her our famous soulmate definition and she shut you down" Rudy says shocked.

The famous soulmate definition is something we all made up together. We said we would tell it to the person we loved truly and that would help us find out if they think the same as us. Regina clearly doesn't.

"It doesn't matter. She just kept shutting me out our whole relationship" I say sitting up.

Rudy kissed my cheek and hugged me. Out of all of us that live here Rudy and I are best friends. She's been there for me for years and I have for her.

"It will be ok"

"It's fine. I'm not stupid enough to go back to Regina again... I hope"
