I sat by the phone and waited. Come on i thought please please. I could smell Brian in the kitchen cooking chicken burgers and fries, my favorite. I was thinking about how good my food was gonna be when the phone started ringing. Yes! I thought as I picked up the phone.
" hello " I said in a quite voice trying to conceal my excitement.
" um hi its Jerry the landlord, imma need that rent played by next week newbie "
" okay, yeah sure " I said
Wow I thought ok
Luckily the phone rang again a few minutes later.
" hello its Amy from JJ's diner, is this Olivia?"
"Yes mam it is"
"Ok well I just wanted to inform you that you got the job"
"YES!!! I mean um thank you mam. When do I start?"
"tomorrow 7:00 you can pick up your hours when you get here"
"Ok thank you so much"
I hung up the phone and my heart pounded with excitement. That night I told Brian and we went out for a celebratory dinner. That night I went to bed a very happy girl.
