I reopen my eyes and sigh. I get up from the bed and walk toward the door carelessly of how I look or smell. The knocking was heard once again. "Almost there." I said in a weird ruff tone; maybe that's what they call the morning voice. I unlock and open the door and walk away from it not care if I seem nice or not. "Walk in leave your things there I'll help you, let me brush my teeth." I say while I walk back. After brushing my teeth and my face I dry it carelessly, put on a shirt and walk out to meet '4546235'.
"I'm sorry, just woke up." I said to the person who was looking outside the window. The person snapped out of her thoughts and looked at my direction. Her eyes went wide realizing who I was. "Harry" I said extending my hand for her to shake. "Beth." She said shaking my hand strongly. "Don't worry, I guess you didn't get the arriving update."
"In fact I didn't. I didn't sleep at all last night, let me help you with your bags." I say walking towards the door "Careful they're heavy!" She tried to warn me but I didn't listen. I took the carry on in my hand and pulled the suitcase. Finding the task hard I ask her. "What's in here?"
"Oh nothing... Just my bathing suits and my 27 flip flops." She said sarcastically making me smile. "You know, there be snow, right?" I keep on the joke. "Of course why else would I bring them?" She said laughing. "Hah!" I sort of laugh at her role-play; watching her laugh made me feel light. "Come, I'll show you your room." I said waking towards the room on the other side of the corridor just across from mine. I open the door and walking in. "Lights, please come in." Soon afterwards I got blinded by the lights, I place the bags on the feet of the bed. "This is your room. I hope it accommodates you properly, if you want to change the position of the room go ahead. But call me to give you a hand. I know it's plain, usually nobody sleeps in it. That door is your bathroom and that's the closet. If you need anything let me know." She nods and I walk away from her room, giving her time to adjust to everything around her.
Feeling hungry I walk towards the kitchen. I put the kettle on the stove and decide to eat cereal at the last moment; taking out a bowl and placing it over the countertop I feel a presence, I look over my shoulder at her. "You hungry?" I ask her. "Yes." She says nodding her head. "Cereal?" "Ugh, Sure." She answers, I take out another bowl and place it beside mine. "Grown up cereal or Lucky Charms gal?"
"Usually none, but grown up, I think." She says and I nod talking out the Cheerios, filling halfway the bowls, walking towards the fridge taking out the carton of milk and placing it beside her. I took for two spoons and take the bows and sit next to her on the small table right beside the kitchen.
"I'm guessing that you know who I am and the consequences." I say breaking the silence between the two of us. "Yes and yes, still a bit unsure of how big this consequences might be, but some how I have to pay for tuition." She finish taking a spoonful. I was about to wonder more about her but the kettle started to shrill. "Tea or coffee?"
"Coffee, definitely coffee." She says making me realize we are opposites. But maybe we can sell that we actual attract.
