4. Friends

So, it had been a few days of school and Kihyun was getting pretty well with his new friends. Despite only spending a few days together, Kihyun can already tell what kind of person they are. I mean, everyone in the group is just so full of personality and Kihyun can definitely tell that they are good people.

Kihyun was still pretty awkward with almost everyone though, especially Shownu since Kihyun always panicked just by looking at Shownu. Even when Shownu greets him, Kihyun could barely greet him back and always ends up with a soft stutter. Shownu is a very nice guy and Kihyun could absolutely see why he's so popular. Not only does he have the looks, he has such a nice personality as well.

However, Kihyun felt a bit more comfortable around Changkyun and Minhyuk though. Most of the lessons he take are the same as Changkyun since they are in the same course, and they have spent quite some time together working on their project, thus he feels very comfortable around Changkyun, also not forgeting that Changkyun was the very first person to make friends with him. Kihyun also finds that Changkyun kinda gives off a sense of maturity and he seems to have a lot of deep thoughts sometimes despite being the youngest in the group. But yet at times, Changkyun acts like the cute maknae he is.

Kihyun also enjoyed the company of Minhyuk around. Firstly, they are of the same age so there's not much formality between them and not to mention, Minhyuk is a very talkative guy. Most of the time, Minhyuk will be the one speaking throughout the whole conversation and Kihyun quite liked that. He didn't really have the courage to speak up and always end up stuttering, so just listening to Minhyuk blabber on almost anything was very pleasant to Kihyun. Kihyun didn't have to force himself to talk.

On the other hand, Kihyun didn't really know Jooheon that well yet. Jooheon gave off a very strong and aggressive first impression but Kihyun knew that he was actually very nice and friendly. Cute even, which can be seen when Jooheon does aegyo occasionally. Kihyun also respected Jooheon a lot when he heard that Jooheon had been learning to produce music and write rap lyrics since he was a kid. However, they don't have much class tgt so they didn't interact much.

And last but not least, there is the Wonho-Hyungwon couple. Kihyun really admire them a lot, it was amazing how they are so open with their relationship despite many people in school giving them dirty looks and insulting them. Kihyun could never stand up against his bullies, he just couldn't. Hyungwon is undoubtedly very stylish and is very good looking, which is why he's really popular with the girls.(But sadly, he's taken) However, there's more to Hyungwon than his visuals though, Kihyun can tell that Hyungwon is a good friend and unexpectedly, he has a very gentle demeanor despite his popularity. I mean, Kihyun always had the stereotype that popular people are mostly snobbish(except for Shownu ahem).

Wonho is also another very handsome guy and is very muscular as well. Maybe even more so than Shownu, Kihyun thought. However, Kihyun knows that deep down, Wonho is actually someone who's very soft and fragile despite his tough exterior appearance. There is an air of innoncence and purity around Wonho, but Kihyun could occasionally see the pain and distress reflected in Wonho's eyes although Wonho always hides it with a charming smile. However, Kihyun knows, he sees the hidden pain. But Kihyun doesn't pry though, because he himself already feels like a lost case, how can he help others when he can't help himself?

With that, Kihyun goes on with his days in school peacefully with his new group of friends, feelimg like he truly belong here.
