Emma's POV

I was slightly nervous for Toby and I's birthday party tonight. A lot of his friends from his old school were going to be there, and I would only know a few people. Justin was staying until after the party, then leaving the next day. I look myself over in my full length mirror. The bottom of my dress was dark blue, while the top was white with little ruffles in the middle. I had on my Converse as I feel most comfortable in them.

I smile as a pair of arms snake around my waist. I turn my head, and bury my head into his neck.

"Stop." Toby mumbles into my hair.

"Stop what?"

"Worrying. Don't even tell me you aren't because I know you are." I laugh.

"You know me so well."

"Mhmm.' Toby turns me to face him. "You look beautiful. Everyone will love you. They are all dying to meet you."

"Really?" I ask.

"Of course. Now, let's go m'lady." He sticks out his arm for me to take, and I intertwine mine with his.

*~*~*

When we show up, there are about 40 cars parked down the street.

"Whoa."

"What?" Toby turns to face me after pulling into his driveway.

"You have a lot of friends." I wasn't expecting this many people. I know some people car pooled or even walked so there was probably going to be 100 people here. My hands start shaking until Toby reaches over and grabs them.

"Look at me." I do as I am told and look to face him. "I love you."

"I love you more."

"Not possible." I laugh, shaking my head. Toby leans over and kisses me softly.

"You're crazy." I whisper against his lips. He lets out a small chuckle.

"You're beautiful." He kisses me again, then walks around the front of the car to open the door for me. I take his hand and step out of the car. The first hour was a blur. So many people came up to us, introducing themselves and saying happy birthday. Most were nice but I felt glares sent my way. I separate myself from Toby as he starts talking to some guy about music. I walk over to Avery, Carly, and Justin how are talking in the corner.

"Hey." Carly says. She hands me a drink and I hesitantly take a drink, remembering what happened last time I was at a party. Luckily, it was just fruit punch. We talk for a little while before I excuse myself. I walked around the perimeter of the room, looking for Riley. Finally I spot him in the corner talking to Chris.

"What's up, princess?" Riley asks as I approach them.

"Not much. Hey, Chris."

"Hey." Chris goes to find Thomas, leaving me with Riley.

"So, having fun? I must say the cupcakes are very good." I laugh.
