Izzy dropped his shoulders in displeasure after getting just enough space to sit next to Nathan, due to the repeated grind of his daily life.  Sitting across them were Fedora and Rosie, having an imbalance ratio of verbal contribution in their conversation, where Rosie talked more. The week had almost ended with only the weekend left. After the gathering they had held at their "Base", the telepathic transmissions occurred randomly but consistently, putting them in embarrassing and dangerous situations in an occasional manner. They busted, predicted and also questioned one another. Abby and Flynn had something going on between them, Izzy assumed. Apart from the constant squabbling of the two blockheads, they had recently been a bit quieter than usual. They came into a solid conclusion and promised not to tell anyone else about the phenomenon.

Alvin, on the other hand, was quite pleased that he is no longer the odd one out since two days ago, a day after the meeting they had. His first experience was not something he was proud of, though. That happened on Wednesday night, a day before Abby had her cheeks flushed in red and her heart pounding at a hilariously quickened rate from her own transmission. It was probably the first time Abby had exposed her feminine side to them. Knowing Abby, Izzy thought twice of the supernatural ranking between the transmission and Abby's girly side, because this particular side of Abby was as rare as an albino two-headed dodo bird that could fly. And dodos have gone extinct.  (Izzy exaggerated. <I.E>)

Wednesday

When the third and the most glorious bell of the day rang, it meant lunch break. Izzy had his class extended fifteen minutes into lunch break, and it spoiled his day miserably. Meanwhile,  the others gathered around their 'Home' and casually killed the time by talking. Izzy, who was still stuck in the place he called jail, decided to try the telepathy out to abuse it and contact his friends who were outside.

Vein after vein surfaced on his temples and forehead, only then it made him realize his efforts were useless, so he decided to  stop unwillingly.

A childishly innocent looking smile was drawn to Abby from Rosie after she lectured Rosie, who took it with zero seriousness.  Abby was concerned about Rosie's monthly assessment, but Rosie was too relaxed to care about it. She has not passed up a single home work since the first day of school, and she had plenty.  Flynn, Nathan and Fedora were all discussing about the movie that was the talk of the town that time. Nathan, being the bubbly one, was quite good with handling the flow of the conversation with Fedora, who seemed to be reluctant and shy, but still said a few words. After a few more irrelevant exchange of words with the five of them, Izzy was finally released from the abyss, or class.

Coming out from his room like a caged bird released into the wild, he had the brightest grin on his face, smiling from ear to ear. Fedora turned first to see Izzy walking towards the bench and returned a diffident but sincere smile of which she partly hid behind her tiny hand. Abby, being the type who can read in between lines, noticed this at first glance. She smirked with the curiosity that arose from within. Abby made it obvious she had an abnormally inquisitive mind, that, or she was just a freak. Izzy had always gone with that second option though, but he loved her as a friend no less.

Nathan gave Izzy a friendly pat on his back.

"Finally. That was dreadful. I can't even understand half of what the teacher was saying." Izzy grunted out of frustration. "The syllabus has a few tweaks this year. Why our batch? We aren't guinea pigs nor lab rats."

"True, but on the bright side, the number of topics had been decreased. So I'm good with that." Rosie responded.

"Yeah, I keep forgetting about that. Am I a forgetful person or a pessimist? I can't even describe myself." Izzy said.
