That night's occurrences were the source of all failures on the next day. All that has been planned was ruined, and the mood in the air wasn't as welcoming as they had all been looking forward to. They were all gathered around at the entrance of the International Airport, some sitting on attached benches and some walking around taking pictures. Sending tingling chills down their spines was the breeze that was flowing at dawn. The sun was still occupied with climbing up onto the horizons, the lighting of the area heavily relied entirely from the ceiling's bright down-light. The place was still under construction, but the unfinished renovation progress gave a visibly better version compared to the old Airport where everything was just plainly basic shapes painted in white. This new and improved modification had complicated modern-like structures, the type you'd see on the top 10's architect designer houses on those web-pages where the advertisements are plenty compared to the content. Considering the fact that this was done just a year ago, the progress was actually quite amazing.
"God, I'm hungry. Where is that guy?" Rosie said. She was leaning back on the plastic chair in an uncomfortable posture. It didn't seem to bother her, because she was busy scrolling through what seemed like square images on her phone. The footer was grey and had buttons, and the background was white, IG.
"Yeah, Izzy. I'm on IG. Stop being a creeper." Her eyes still fixed on the screen.
"Wha.. I am not a creeper!" He said, sounding annoyed after being accused.
"Totally what a creeper would say." Rosie replied, throwing more pebbles.
"It was just a glance! Holy-.. You're annoying. Whatever, irrelevant."
"Tee hee, I'm just joking, don't get all worked up now." Her voice full of satisfaction. These two are like cats and dogs, or the unlike poles of a magnet. They just keep going against each other for no apparent reason.
"Damn, these transmissions come out at the least expected time and it annoys the hell outta me. You can't even promise yourself that you'd keep your own secret." Izzy said while sitting on one of the stone cones separating the driveway and the tiled floor. It wasn't actually a safety cone because it had a semi spherical head, but you get the idea. It was for guarding the way so that cars couldn't enter and trample over everyone.
Abby snapped her head towards Izzy saying: "Well, sometimes, these transmissions aren't even necessary to extract the truth, you know. When you lie, truth will find it's way."
Fedora's mouth twitched. She might have wanted to say something, but when the lion roars and all you can afford to do is squeak, it's wise to just keep quiet. She was wise. Instead, she gave a few 'it's okay to be mad' pats on Abby's shoulder saying "There, there."
What is this tension in the air? Izzy thought.
"Oh." Izzy said. It took him a while to get what Abby was trying to say. She was referring to what Alvin did last night. It didn't piss Izzy off as much as it did for Abby, so that came into mind too. But the fact that his thoughts can randomly be heard, he'd decided to keep sensitive things like these off of his mind. During their ride home in Alvin's car, Alvin informed them that after dropping them off, he'd straight away go to the mall to pick up Bella from music class, and that he'd zoom his way back for Abby's spontaneous dinner. After a long delay, they started to get worried. Random negative thoughts popped up in their heads, and they had slapped each other's arm whenever a transmission reveals what they assumed happened to Alvin. Their consistent questions were answered in the form of a phone call, and it came from Bella, who claimed to be comfortably laying down in bed under her favorite blanket. Confusion struck them. Izzy and Abby were sure that when they were dropped off, Alvin went for a route that would eventually lead him to the nearby mall, because if he had chosen to go home, he'd have to take a U-turn instead. Well obviously, someone wasn't being honest. "Yeah...that."
