Prologue

Two years ago...

Dear Allison,
Honey, we both know you've been through a lot. We both wish we've could of been with you today on your sixteen birthday but of course we are sorry for not making it. Ever since you were born, you've made the both of us very happy to be with, you are so young but full of life. We both love you so much, even if we are a part we still love you. We both wish you happy birthday and sent something you will probably call not only the best gift, but the best friend. One this chip in this envelop is an A.I. by the name of Theta. We both feel he will be someone you may like around not only to help you with all that is happening but maybe even to be there to support you when we cannot.

I was surprised when I read that they knew that I was dealing a lot of things that was dragging me through a lot of stress and pain, mental, not physical. I pulled out the chip that my parents said was in the envelop. It was a small, gray chip with the Greek symbol for Theta engraved into it. I guessed that the original person who had this A.I., my parents never told who they were nor what they were like but I hope to one day learn of who this unknown character is had given them this chip. 

I warmly smiled as I looked over at my Uncle who smiled and said. "Happy birthday, Allison."

"Thanks, Uncle." I replied as I walked upstairs to my room, closing the door behind me so no one knew what I was doing. It wasn't as big as my room on Free Chorus but I made due, my bed was to my left but my desk where my computer was next to the window to my right where I could look out and let my mind think over the problems while working on any projects I had for school. Now, also the room was clean thanks the fact I was a neat freak and wanted to be organized in how I do things, especially involving my work. 

I sat down at my desk and turned on my computer, it was fast at the boot up so I didn't have to wait all that long before I could log on and figure out how to get this A.I. chip open so I can get the A.I. online within said chip. I was very curious of how it would react to someone it had never seen before, my curiosity was known to get the best of me. It allowed me to think through every little problem I had to solve and allowed me to experiment with possible solutions to said problems.

I logged in and plugged the chip into it, the files appeared on my screen. I read through all the code to ensure there was nothing wrong but as I looked through, I noticed something that caught my eye, there were files from another A.I. in here. "Keeper" was the name label on many of the codes and programs but then I found the name of the A.I., Freelancer A.I. fragment Theta. He was an older A.I., possibly out lived many of his brothers but from what I could remember, he also shared many of the characteristics I have now. 

Well, here goes nothing. I thought to myself as I clicked the button that read "activate." Before I knew it, the terminal next to my computer turned on and a small, purple spartan appeared. He at first seemed disoriented but then he jumped when he saw me and made me fall out of my seat. I hit the ground hard.

I groaned a little as I got up slowly, then picked up my chair. 

"Who are you? Where am I? Where is Wing?" Theta started to ask in a fast passed manner that I could barely keep up with. 

"Whoa, whoa. Calm down, buddy." I said in a very calm voice but in reality was surprised by how he scared the stuffing out of me.

It took him a moment to calm down and relax, he reminded me of myself in that moment as I had to do the same after him basically jump scaring me. 

"You good, mate?" I asked in a soft yet calm voice.

"Yeah," he said taking a deep breath.

"Alright, now to start answering your questions, I am Allison Leneps Washington, you're in my home here on Delta in the Haven Colonies, and who is this Wing?" 

His eyes widened as he heard my name, he ran through tons of information then he found my file in a matter of three seconds. He looked at me then turned around and looked backed at my file then back at me again and said with surprise. "What the freak? How could this be possible?!" 

"Uh, well..." I said.

"Nevermind, just me freaking out over here at the fact that you're 16 years old and you are Carolina's and Washington's daughter. By the ways, what the heck does Leneps stand for?"

"What, for real? Dear lord, okay. It is Lenard, as in my grandfather and eps, as in the Epsilon A.I. fragment."

"Oh, well then, uh!"

I giggled a little and then he giggled along for we just had a deja vu moment right there. Then my door opened and there stood my Uncle with a concerned look upon his face as he asked. "You okay in here, Allison?"

I nodded a yes to him while I hold in all the laughter.
