We all headed for our homes, hoping our parents were okay. Kate and Jace darted home while me and Jaden were doing the same. Our every step was done out of worry that they may be already in trouble. My mind rushing through all the possible outcomes of what may have happened to them possibly. Killed. Bleeding out. Hostage. Kidnapped. The list went on in my mind.
I could tell Jaden was worried as well, I heard my heart racing in my own chest as we were now in front of my house. I looked over at Jaden and he looked back at me and with a silent nod between the two of us we went in. I slowly opened the door and saw a tidy hallway but the lights were off. I kept calm as I pulled out a pistol I kept in my jacket, Jaden was surprised by the expression written on his face.
"You had that in you the whole time?!" He whispered to me with the hint of surprise in his voice. His eyes were widened by the sight of it.
"Yes." I whispered back in a calm voice. I had learned to never go anywhere unarmed, it became a habit for me to carry a firearm in me. My parents knew why, after all the times when the New Legion attempted to kidnap me from any public place. Let's say both the gun and my dad's knife became very helpful which I also had on me.
"Mom! Dad! You guys home?" I called as I checked the kitchen, nothing. I moved to where the dining room was, nothing. Then the living room, it was a mess, like a struggle happened here. Things everywhere, broken glass from the vase my Aunt gave us. There was a fight here but the crazy thing was my parents never were known to fight. They were missing.
"What happened here?" Jaden asked me in a soft voice.
"I don't know. Theta, you can show yourself now." I said as Theta appeared. "Can you get me a simulation of what went down here?"
"Already done." He replied as he pulled up the 3D model for both me and Jaden. Church appeared as Theta played the animation of what occurred in this room.
My own parents were ambushed by five men who must of been New Legion soldiers, they took down my mother, my father though he fought like an animal, with a knife he had on him. They darted him and then knocked my mother out. It may have not have been a lot but it explained a lot than one could realize. Someone else was still here, I could hear their footsteps coming down the stairs. I motioned to Jaden to get behind the couch while I got on one side of the entrance to the living room from upstairs.
As soon as I heard the figure com ing to the door I admittedly aimed my gun at their head.
"Uncle Locus?!" I said in surprise seeing my uncle and hugging him after putting up my gun.
"Thank God you're okay." He said as he embraced me.
Jaden came out of hiding and said. "Uh, when did you show up?"
"Ten or so minutes ago. I had heard of what happened at the school, your teacher informed me y'all were on your way home from the events that were occurring with the New Legion looking for y'all."
"That means they were waiting for me and Jaden to head to school and struck."
"Yes. By the looks of things they got your parents and Jaden, they also got your mother."
Jaden sighed as he knew that if his mother was in danger he had to help her, he wouldn't ever abandon her.
"What are we gonna do?" He asked.
"Gear up, Allison. Jaden, come with me." My Uncle said to us.
I went to where I had set up my workshop and got into the Valkry Angel Suit and grabbed the LOTUS device and equipped it on to my back. I grabbed my rifle, Roses and two SMGs and put them on my sides and my back. I grabbed my dad's knife and one I had crafted and put them in their sheaths. I turned my head slightly over to see a picture of me and my parents on my desk. I picked it up, removed it from its frame and folded the picture and put it in my left ammo bag as I grabbed my helmet.
