I and the others started to get to work after I explained that this ship could get us out of harm's way and if needed we could use what was left of it to act like a first layer of defence of it all comes down to it. I was working on one of the counsels when West came in and said. "Allison, I need you for a sec."

I got up and said as I was holding a very explosive core in my left hand. "Okay... hold on a sec while I put this thing back into it rightful place."

West must of been surprised with how calm I was working around such things. I spent enough time with my parents that they had taught me more than what I could ever learn at school, then again, I was pretty darn advanced for a kid my age. We walked over to the old training room where my mother and many other Freelancers used to better themselves in their combat skills.

"Now, this will be a bit of a test to see how good you truly are at hand to hand combat, your mother was our top and Wing was the unofficial best. Now, they each have a pretty darn high score that they couldn't beat due to it being when they were not trying to beat said score." West explained to me. He went on to explain that this test should reveal some of my hand to hand combat skills as he started up the training area and had me type in my name. I wondered why the password was my name for almost every little thing in this ship, my mother went in depth about my grandfather on her side of the family.

"FILSS, ready up the Carolina/Massachusetts difficulty." West said as a female A.I. commed in and said. "Of course."

I stood in the center of the room now, looking up to see West give me a "good luck" smile. I saw many holographic circles around me and listened as FILSS started to count down. Then after she said the round had begun, I went into a dance, one my mother had taught me. And I don't mean dance as in on a dance floor, I mean a combat dance. I was nailing circle after circle, watching myself hit them with speed and accuracy and strength, I didn't have to think about which I would hit next. I felt my body place itself in my mother's feet when she use to do this, she was good and so was Wing but neither of them had the speed of my father in a normal combat situation.

The test went on as I soon heard the match session and and saw the score. Wing's and my mother's were at the top then, mine appeared above theirs, I had beaten their best. West came down and saw I wasn't worn out which surprised him, was it normal to be worn out after something like this or was I the irregular?

[Wow, you did amazing, Allison.] Theta said to me.

Thanks. I replied.

"You are far better in hand to hand combat than the two best Freelancers, Allison." West said. "You are definitely incredible."

That night, I was outside, enjoying the cool evening air when I saw Jaden come over with a cup of hot coco as he sat down next to me. He handed me a cup and I said. "Thanks, Jaden. But you didn't have to."

"Hey, I do it out of lo- I mean, kindness of my heart." He said.

"You don't have to hide it from me, you know."

"Hide wha-"

I interrupted him with me kissing him on his lips, he was wide eye as he soon gave in and wrapped his arms around me and breathed into me as I did into him. Church seemed triggered as he had appear and started to yell something but I couldn't make it out due to my mind focused on Jaden. His lips were so soft and tasted so sweet. I felt him wrapping his arms around my waist as I placed my hands on his neck and cheek.

After a good few minutes or so we stopped, he was surprised as he said. "You know, ever since I was in school before you showed up, never had a girl like you done something like that before to me."

"What can you expect, I really never felt this way before towards any boy before, Jaden." I said somewhat nervously then only to be pulled into his embrace again and felt his lips meet my own.

"SHIP CONFIRMED!!" We both heard a squealing Kate say, causing us to become very embarrassed as we turned to see her and her boyfriend right there, only twenty feet away. Jace calm while his girlfriend was going nuts over the fact that he and Jaden had feelings for one another. I rolled my eyes and heard Church say. "Never, EVER! Do that again, Jaden!"

"Uh, give me a moment." Jaden said as he went off with Church and all I heard was the oddest argument that I never thought would occur with a guy up until I met Jaden.

[Dang it, I was shipping you two!] I heard Theta say, making me laugh my head off. I knew that Church would kill me for what I did if he ever figured out that I kissed Jaden first, of course Jaden would defend me.

"You little prick of a girl did what?!" Church yelled at me after we all sat together, well... just me, Kate, Jaden, and Jace whom was meditating like he belonged in Star Wars.

"I made the first move so shut up about it." I replied.

"No way in heck am I going to let you have Jaden! He isn't even your-"

"Shut the **** up, Church!!!" Jaden finally spoke with a hiss.

"Did you just, cuz at me?!"

"Yes. I am 18 and so is she, we're adults here not children."

"Uh, Jaden..." Jace said as he and Kate looked at us. "Me and Kate are 17."

"What the-"

"Uh, we've never told ya and we almost forgot about it up until you assumed our age."

"How dare you assume my age!" Kate joked.

"Ya know, that makes more sense." I replied.

"How so?" Kate said, looking at me oddly.

"I saw the year you were born in... uh..."

"You saw my diary?!" Jace asked in a not so calm voice.

I thought over what I had found earlier, the book labeled 'touched or die' and that I read it. Then I looked back at him and said. "Uh... I can tell you what I didn't do."

"You are DEAD!"

"Oh shoot!"

I soon found myself running fast away from the angry cat kid whom had a katana in hand and so gave me a better reason to pick up the pass and move a little faster.
