White Rose

There once was a white rose and now there's a red

Stained from all the years of bloodshed

It's dark

You're scared

Don't know where to go

Can't go to bed

'Cause every time you close your eyes you see the faces of all the innocent now dead

The pain from then has come up again

There's no way around it

Give up you're surrounded

You deserve to rot in jail

Better yet hell

You tried to run from the mistakes you made, but you found out that's hard to do

The once perfect white rose now is red, stained forever by the blood you shed

There's no way around it, and now you're surrounded

You should've given up that day you were driven to such madness

Dripping with blood

The blood you shed

The white rose that now is red

You can't take back what's already done, and you can't try to fix it when somebody's dead

I'm gonna start a riot

Someone please stop it

You can't be a lover when you're a fighter, and you can't stop a fire that's only getting brighter

The now red rose has finally fled

But will be back when the past is dead

Its wilting petals are dripping with blood from all the ones who used to be loved

In the hall lay the gore

Is it true you ask for more

The innocent cry every time you lie

About the blood on the rose

Though everybody knows

That's just the way it goes

The now red rose

*I was hesitant to post this since I'm actually very dissatisfied and unimpressed with this poem, however, it was the first poem I had ever written, so I thought I might as well post it since it was the beginning of my writing. I hope it isn't too awful, and thanks for reading it regardless!
