More Tragic than Romeo and Juliet.

I feel my bed dip, but I am way too tired and sleepy to care.

It could be a rogue?...

Sleep is more important than my life right now.

I went to Sleep around 2 last night so if it's a rogue... I hope she or he waits until I get enough sleep then kill me.

"Baby," my mother voice says

Oh, it's worse, my mom.

"It's too early" I murmur pulling my covers over my head

"you won't be going to school today, I guess you could sleep in until 10"

my eyes open at the words 'not going' and 'to school'

Yes!

Today in health class we were going to learn- a very awkward subject that I was planning to ditch.

"Really?" I turn to my side where my mom is lying down,

she nods closing her eyes "yes, your birthday party is tonight, and we still haven't found the dress" she answers

"Why couldn't we have had a party on my birthday? I mean what's the point of throwing a party for me today? I'm already sixteen" I grumble

My mom laughs at that, it's not funny.

As she is laughing I notice how much we don't look alike, her eyes are green while mine are blue, she has Dark hair, almost black while mine is like a dirty blonde color, very dark. It is not just that, our face features are not the same.

"What was Drui babbling about last night?" she asks closing her eyes

"The story of Selene and Lycaon... Is Selene really a witch?" I ask

"I don't know"

My mom loves wolf history she even has her own library full of old boring books, she reads them when she's not doing mom/Luna stuff. She told me that if she wasn't Luna she would be a history teacher.

"No one knows, one thing we're certain about is that Selene and Lycaon were mates.

That's why the moon goddess made mates for every wolf" my mom wraps her arms around me and pulls me into a hug.

I let out groan pretending to be annoyed by the hug but my wolf and I really like it deep inside.

"Why so curious all of a sudden, I thought love and soulmates aren't your thing"

"it isn't but Selene and Lycaon story is like the Romeo and Juliet of the werewolf world"

"it's more tragic my little wolf" my mom sighs

Now I want to know the rest of the story.

"So what happened after Lycaon and Selene got married? Drui said it's not a happy ending"

"it's not" my mom agrees

"Will you tell me?" I ask her, giving her my best puppy eye look,

it works.

"Shortly after they married Selene finds out that she's with child and tells Lycaon.

She was very excited that they get to start a family but when she told him his reaction left her devastated." my mom tells me

"Lycaon did not want a child, the last thing he wanted was someone else like him. The fact that he created another monster made him lose his temper and shifts into a wolf. He tried to harm Selene, so the baby could die before it was even born"

I choke on air and sit up staring at my mom in shock "oh my goddess" I gasp

"Selene, later on, realized that her father was right, and she saw the beast that Lycaon really was. She left, went back to her dad's kingdom to protect her child.

King Chadli love for Selene was endless, lasting forever and no matter what Selene did king Chadli could never look at her differently. He welcomed her back with open arms.

He promises her, to protect the baby if she agrees to marry a man of his choosing"

"Don't tell me she agrees" I sigh losing hope at this point of the story.

"She marries a witch named Depraysie" my mom smiles

"They get married, Depraysie was a kind man, took care of her and her child. Even though the child did not belong to him, he raised it as his own.

As time passed, Selene's fall in love with him."

I didn't know how to feel, my emotion were all mixed together. Lycaon was her mate how could she fall in love with someone else? Was that even possible? To fall in love again after your mate?

"After a while, Selene and Depraysie started a family on their own," my mom ends the story

"...what? That's it? What about lycaon?" I ask after a minute of silent

Selene and lycaon should've been together even if lycaon is insane. It doesn't matter! Or does it? I don't think I would choose him if I was Selene.

My mom shrugs "some say king lycaon died of heartbreak, some say he is still out there planning revenge on Selene, king Chadli and Selene children."

"Children?"

"Selene and Depraysie had nine more children."

"Do you like the dress?" Clara asks pining the back so it's tighter

The dress is pretty, it's a little short and the color is nice but there's something wrong with it. I can't put my finger to it.

I turn around to where Ibenez, Josie and my mom are seated "what do you guys think?"

"It's a little short" Josie points out

"the color washes you out," Ibenez says then his eyes go wide when my mom raises her brows at his statement,

"I mean you look hot"

"no, no, and no" my mom groans placing her magazine down

"it's not too short, Alpha Heath will love her in this dress, blue is his favorite color"

"Can't I wear my favorite color?" I asked rolling my eyes

"it is my birthday party not his"

"You will come to understand that it's not about your wants but your alphas needs and wants," Clara says shaking her head at me as if disappointed at my outburst.

"I've learned the hard way that he always comes first"

Josie starts to cough I look to see Ibenez holding back a laugh as he rubs her back.

Why am I friends with them? They always laugh at everything!

"The dress is perfect mom" I say looking down my shoes, they look nice...

"I have piano practice in like five minutes, so we should get going" I add

We get home and I change for 'piano practice'...

Okay, so the truth is I don't go to piano practice.

For a very long time, I've been lying to my parents telling them I am going to piano practice when in reality I have been training with Ibenez and his siblings.

I put on black leggings, my training bra and a singlet and make my way to the kitchen.

"Ready to beat my brother ass?" Ibenez whispers walking in with a banana

"You didn't tell him to take it easy on me right?" I ask walking alongside him

Today is the 'big tournament', I have been training and fighting alongside Ibenez brothers and sisters for three months and today I have to show what I've learned.

Last week we fought in wolf form, I won three times, but I couldn't beat him and his two brothers in my human form.

"Thank goddess your birthday party is at 9, and you'll have time to heal," Josie says joining us when we pass by her house.

"I am hoping to make at least $200 tonight"

"You bet on me?!" I growl at the brunette

Wait, 200 dollars is a lot of money, I can make 200 dollars if I win?

"Can I get on it?" I ask

"Amma she bet against you" Ibenez scoffs

Josie shoves Ibenez "she's going to be fighting Jack who's five times her size, IN HER HUMAN FORM..." she turns to me

"I love you but you're not going to win"

"if I win, I get your 200 bucks" I bet turning to the brunette "if I lose then I will double it"

"Deal!"

We shake hands, Ibenez ignores us as he continues to eat his banana.

We finally reach the wooded area behind his house where his three brothers and sisters are waiting.

Jack winks at me giving me a look that says I am going to beat you smirk.

"You can do this! Win it for us girls!" Monica, Ibenez younger sister yells

"okay fair fight ladies," Ibenez says to us making jack roll his eyes

"no hair pulling, biting, spitting-"

"Can we fight already?!" Jack groans cutting his older brother off

"yea, go" Ibenez sighs

I raise my fist as Jack goes in and throws the first punch.

I duck easily and launch a punch in his stomach.

He groans painfully "that really hurt" he huffs

"Not as much as this is going to hurt," I say

I jump up and kick my leg out, his hazel eyes widen before my bare feet come in contact with his face.

"Want to give up yet? You look like you're in pain" Jack smirks

I was in pain, I couldn't see probably my eyes were bruised pretty bad, I could feel them heal slowly.

"Like what you see?" jack asks pointing to his six packs

This is my opportunity, I smirk knowing what buttons to push to get to the alpha.

"I've seen better, jack. You call that abs" I scoff

He looks down at his stomach frowning "hey! I work pretty hard, you really hurt my feel-"

I kick him right in the stomach making him falls to the ground "okay I deserved that" he groans getting up and running full speed towards me

I've learned from Ibenez that during a fight there's no such thing as an honor or code or rules.

You do whatever it is to hurt the other person and to win.

I move away and jump on his back but before I can choke or pull his hair a gush of pain jolts through my body.

I fall to ground holding my stomach in pain.

"Oh my goddess!" Jack yells falling to the ground to examine me

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Someone help!"

I couldn't help but scream out loud as the burning feeling intensifies.

Am I dying? I wanted to win or at least finish the fight!

Looks like I won't be getting that 200 dollars after all I think to myself as darkness overwhelms me.

first of all, that's ibenez on top!  you can imagine the characters as you wish this is just what I had in mind when I was writing the story.
