Chapter 44

Tamara's POV

"Girl so what's up with you and Dillon." Lauretta asked me, we were sitting in a restaurant at a mall near my house

"Nothing what you talking about." I said trying not to sound to suspicions.

"I saw yall conversating in acconting, remember you got a man no need to spend time with him." She said putting a chunk of pasta in her mouth

"Whats that supposed to mean, we are still friends with him and me and jasons relationship should not get in the way." I said rolling my eyes

"No we are not he stopped coming to the group after your boyfriend kicked him out , now he hangs around his homies." Nelly said putting her input inside

"Okay thats not the point, I am still friends with him he saved my ass." I said with attitude as I stood up to go to the bathroom.
"I will be back."

"Sorry come back." Nelly said, than lauretta held her hand to stop.

I went to the bathroom and freshened my lipgloss. As I exited the bathroom and bumped into someone,  they looked at me up and down and smirked then walked away.
Okay

I will admit something about Dillon rubs me the wrong way but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. I went to the table and sat down with a scowl on my face.

"How about we change the subject. "Lauretta says

"Yeah, have anyone of you spoken to Layla." Nelly asked and I explained the situation that happend at the party

"I know after you left she came out the room and pucked then all of a sudden  gulped a whole bottle of vodka, I am seriously worried about her." Lauretta said

"We should talk to her." I said as I continued to eat my rice and chicken curry.

The lunch continued and was not so bad, we decided to window shop since our broke asses spent all our money on lunch and a sweet treat. We were outside the mall saying our goodbyes.

"See you guys whenever." Nelly said as she hugged lauretta and curved my ass
"No hugs for you"

"Bitch." I said because I was so touched

"I will give you one." Lauretta said as she hugged me; then Nelly ran and jumped on both of us, making us land straight on the concrete parking lot and families and people looking at us odd while we laughed our asses off.

"Get of." Lauretta said as she poked Nelly stomach,  then Nelly started poking Lauretta. Then they just started hitting each other. Till I broke it off.

"Go home you two."

"Do you need a ride Tamara. ?" Nelly asked

"Nah I live round the corner I can walk, I need the exercise." I said as I waved them away as Nelly drove her and Lauretta away.

I walked on the pavement as I looked around,  I picked up the pace as I thought about going home and  falling asleep half naked. I looked back and saw a dude walking by me.

"Hey." It was the same dude from the bathroom
"Do you need a ride"

"I am good thank you, you dont really have a car." I said as I picked up the pace as my heart started pounding

" I do." Just then a black jeep pulled up next to him, he held on to my arm.

I have read to many kidnapping stories I was not being a victim.  I punched in the face and balls and made a ran for it. I was not fast but I made it to my street. It was a busy street so I was fine for now. My breathing was heavy and uncontrolled.  As I was walking I saw Dillon at my gate.

"Hey what are you doing here."

"I wanted to talk to you about something. "

I was still a bit on edge so for some reason my heart told me not to trust him.

"Sure."

"Can we go in." He said looking around.

"No I think my dad is home." I said as I placed my hand in my bag and took my pocket knife.

"Cool, you know I care about you and I would never hurt you with out reason." He said as he came near me and put one hand on my waist and the other on my face.

"The fuck whats wrong with you, who say shit like that. Nigga I dont know you like that, and I am gonna need you to back the fuck up." I said getting angry

"You need to listen to me." He said as he grabbed my face and planted his crusty lips on mine. They are not really crusty its just when I am mad I criticise.

I pused him back and punched him in the gut

"What is wrong with you."

"I am so sorry" he said as I felt a sharp pain in my neck, I looked back and saw the dude who tried to take me. Dillon was just distracting me. The guy lifted me up as everything went num.

"Sweetie what did I say about going out in the heat yall faint." The man said as a couple drove past us.

Just as I closed my eyes I felt like I was thrown in a car.

"She caused way too much trouble, she better be worth alot. " a deep voice said as I fully accepted the darkness.
