Chapter 24

The day after Zayn proposed to Lauren, he decided to let the world know that Lauren was going to be his forever.

After Zayn made a tweet regarding his engagement to his soon to be wife, Lauren. Him along with Lauren read the replies beneath the tweet liking every positive tweet that had successfully caught their attention

Ever since the announcement of Zayn's engagement, he has been constantly working in the studio on new music, however he hasn't shared the information with Lauren as to what the song he's working on is about, this caused her to grow impatient and frustrated.

"Lemme guess you're going to the studio again huh?" Lauren asked, resting her hand on her hip watching as Zayn was getting dressed

"Yeah babe, don't worry I'll be back soon" Zayn assured walking over to Lauren to press a kiss against her cheek 

"Could you at least tell me what this song you've been working on is about?" Lauren asked in frustration 

"Nope, I can't" Zayn responded with a smile trying his best not to laugh at Lauren's impatience 

"Why not!?" Lauren asked in annoyance, furrowing her eyebrows 

"Because, it's a surprise" Lauren groaned, simultaneously rolling her eyes at the back of her head

"Oh cmon don't be like that, you'll eventually know the meaning behind this song, I promise" Zayn reassured, this time he was able to get Lauren to stop pestering him about the song

"Okay" Lauren simply said 

"Yes so please stop worrying babe.. anyways as I said before I'm going out to the studio for a bit, so see you later babe" this time Zayn pressed a small kiss on Lauren's lips, heading out of the room they shared 

"Yeah see you later" Lauren said lowly

Zayn was finally back home from the studio, when he entered his bedroom he was met with his lover in deep sleep on her side of the bed, the sight of Lauren sleeping peacefully caused a smile to form on his lips. The black haired boy ensured to take a shower before deciding to join his lover in bed. 

Within a few hours, Lauren suddenly woke up in the middle of the night with nothing but the thought of zayn's song on her mind this caused her to instantly get an idea however in order to carry out this plan she had to remove zayn's arms that were currently wrapped around her waist. Before getting out of bed the green eyed girl would constantly look back and forth at the black haired boy laying next to her with his eyes shut in order to check if he's still asleep 

When Lauren was convinced she had absolutely nothing to worry about she took this as an opportunity to slowly and gently lift Zayn's arm off her waist in order to not wake him up, fortunately for her she successfully removed one of Zayn's arms from around her waist without waking him up however she still had his other arm to worry about

Just as before, she constantly looked at Zayn, checking to see if he was still asleep, Lauren slowly raised herself out of his arm simultaneously raising her self off the sheet until she was completely out of Zayn's grip 

When Lauren's feet touched the cold floor, she immediately made her over to the nightstand, picking her cell phone up in the process in order to use it as a source of light, since switching the light on in the room she shared with zayn would be a bad idea due to the fact that it would most likely cause him to wake up

Once Lauren had her phone in her hand, she slowly tiptoed her way over to Zayn's backpack that was currently hung against the wall by a nail, she wasted no time in removing the backpack from the wall when she had reached her destination, it was now time for her to unzip the bag.

While Lauren was busy unzipping the backpack, she could hear the sound of shifting coming from the bed she shared with Zayn, this caused her to immediately turn around in fright checking to see if this time Zayn was awake, luckily for her he was still asleep, the only difference is that he had slightly changed his sleeping position 

Lauren took a short moment waiting to see if it was safe to resume unzipping Zayn's backpack soon enough she started to unzip his bag again, however, once again she heard the sound of shifting coming from the bed located in her room along with Zayn's voice calling out to her 

"Babe what are you doing with my bag?" Put it down and come back to bed" Zayn commanded in exhaustion 

"Uhhhh" Lauren stood in thought trying to come up with a logical explanation as to why she was currently going through Zayn's bag however nothing came to mind so instead she wasted no time in zipping back up the backpack, while Lauren was busy hanging back up the bag a question Zayn asked her caused her to halt her actions

"Wait lemme guess you were searching through my bag for the book I write lyrics in, weren't you?" Zayn asked in realization while arching an eyebrow  

"Yeah..." Lauren frowned, looking down at the floor beneath her feet 

"But why?? I told you time and time again that eventually you'll know what the song I'm working on is about and yet you still went behind my back to try to find out on your own... I really wasn't expecting this from you" Zayn said in disappointment 

"I'm sorry, I really am" Lauren said in sadness with her eyes closed 

At first zayn was upset with his lover for going behind his back to find out information about the song he's been working on however when he realized she was sad, all anger he felt at the moment gradually disappeared

"It's okay, just promise me you won't ever do this again and that you'll be patient with me" Zayn said hopeful

"I promise" 

"Good, now hang the bag up and come back to bed so I can cuddle you again" Zayn said lovingly causing a smile to form on Lauren's lips, when Lauren finished hanging the backpack against the wall she spun around making her way over to the black haired boy who was currently laying on the bed
