I held his hand as he draged me up from my place at the wall.
"Why don't you go to classes and stuff?" Derek asked as the looked at me.
"I can't really concentrate" I said quietly.
"Me neither." He said.
As we walked home I felt like I had to ask about Alison. I just had to. If they were boyfriend and girlfriend I don't really think I should be talking to him, not even walking on the side of him.
"So, Alison, eh?" I asked, trying to sound as smooth as I could.
"What about her?" Derek asked.
"Are you two together or what's the deal?" I asked and felt really embarrassed.
"Oh, uhm" Derek started. "It's complicated." He said.
"It's not like she is carring your child or something?" I said and started to laugh.
Derek stopped.
No, don't tell me that I just screwed it all up... I thought to myself.
"Yes. That's the case." Derek said and looked me right in the eyes.
"Are you serious? How, like, when? What?" I bearly couldn't speak.
"You are so silly, you know that, right?" Derek said and laughed as much as he could. "Of course she is not carring my child."
"You little prick!" I yelled at him.
"You and me, we should hang out some time, just like friends." Derek said, smiling at me.
Just like friends. I thought to myself.
