"Derek, what the hell are you doing here? Trying to crash my window?" I said almost yelling.
"Can I sleep here tonight?" He asked and smiled at me.
"What? Why? meh, just come in, silly." I said to him as I helped him up.
"So, what's the deal, eh? Coming here in the middle of the night?" I said to him smiling like a freak.
"Well, when I got home Alison stood on my kitchen and were talking to my parents. She told them everything and they were so pissed off." He said looking down, blushing.
"Ey, It's okay." I said and gave him a small hug.
The hug got tighter and I could not really get out of his grip, not like I wanted to but...
"But you can't stay here forever you know." I said, worried about what my mother would think about me sleeping in the same bed as a guy I just met.
"Why?" Derek said, smiling at me.
I went to bed and Derek followed me.
"Okay, Derek, if mom comes in here, just hide, okay?" I said to Derek.
"Hide where?" He said, looking around for a place to hide.
"Under the sheets or something" I said.
"Uhm, okay." Derek said and looked at me with a confused face.
We both said good night and fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up to a scrambling sound from the kitchen, like someone was making food. The first thought that hit me was that my mother was down in the kitchen making breakfast. I turned around to see if Derek was up too.
He's gone. Oh my god. I got a quick picture in my head, a picture of Derek sitting tied up in a chair with my mother standing in front of him with the worst torture weapons I could imagine. I woke up from my daydream and rushed down in the kitchen.
"MOM STOP!! HE'S JUST A FRIEND!!" I yelled as I ran down the stairs, almost falling. I heard two laughs coming from the kitchen.
As I got down in the kitchen I saw mom and Derek sitting at the table. They laughed so much they could bearly breathe.
"Good morning.." I said as I hid my face in my hand to hide that I was blushing.
"Want some breakfast?" My mom asked as she pulled out a chair for me.
"Diana, I brought some new pens and a writing book for you." My mom said as she picked up the stuff from a paper bag.
"Mom, you know that I don't go to school..." I said quietly to her.
"Derek will take you there, hunny." Mom said with a fake smile.
As we walked in to the school Derek stopped and looked around. Alison was not around. Yet.
He grabbed my hand.
"Derek, are you trying to get me into trouble?!" I asked him with a serious face.
"I don't wanna be ashamed of you anymore, Diana."
"What do you me..." I said before I got interrupted.
"What the fuck, Derek?" I heard a well-known voice say. Alison.
"You left me for this, this..." Alison couldn't get her words out.
"THIS WHAT?" I turned around and looked her in the eyes.
"This whore." She said. She knew that I wasn't a whore. But she wanted reactions. Everyone in the hall turned around and that was exactly what she wanted.
"Alison, we are not together anymore. Just leave me and Diana alone, for once." Derek said with a calm voice. The whole crowd that were standing around us started to whisper to eachother.
"Let's go, Diana." Derek said. He draged me out of the school and we went home.
"Well, that was...nice." He said as we got home.
